"Great price quality relationship"
This is not a hotel to spend your honeymoon but fairly good for a business trip. The breakfast was excellent and the people desk were very kind. Clean, good space and very good location. The hotel has a garage and is very convenient if you are in a business trip.
I'm walking the Camino and currently staying here for two night, Saturday and Sunday - this is my 14th Hotel in 14 days. I've been in a mix of 2, 3 and 4 star hotels but this one gets the title of being the most unpleasant to date I chose this hotel because I'm treating myself to a day off and wanted the services and facilities associated with 4star hotels 1. Restaurant on site for dinner as I've walked enough - restaurant is closed Saturday Sunday, only the cafe is open....after walking 21K I don't want a snack or a sandwich, I want a proper meal. There is no indication of this on their website 2. Laundry service - thought it would be nice to have my clothes washed and ironed for me - this is also not available Saturday or Sunday - again they don't tell you this on the website 3. Good AC for a decent night sleep - one of the little luxuries associated with 4 star - the room has AC which makes more noise than the average jet engine so it got switched off and I had a seriously uncomfortable night. Faving another one tonight....did I mention Maitenace don't work weekends either' 4. I'm Coeliac and trusted a quality hotel could deliver - the restaurant staff are delightful and VERY VERY helpful. However...there was a jar labelled GF biscuits which was full of packets of biscuits which were NOT Gluten Free but Sugar Free. This happened because the GF label is on the lid and not the actual jar so I can only assume they were mixed up. Lesson for hotel is label the jars and not the lids. Fortunately experience has taught me to check and cross check everything In addition the rooms are card entry, which is a great idea! Love it, easier to carry than a key BUT on three occasions I've got to my room on the 5th floor to find my card doesn't work....back to reception to get it recharged. This bring me nicely to reception....basically corporate guard dogs who have no time or care for the non corporate traveller. They are standoffish and unpleasant. This hotel caters for the corporate client or indeed private functions - the fact that important facilities are only available Monday to Friday are testament to that. It's a bad choice for the traveler and I certainly would not like to stay here again. Sadly I've booked a few nights in other Silken hotels along my 500mile plus walk....fingers crossed they're better than this. Finally - the location is fine, not as perfect as some reviews indicate - BUT there are beautiful traditional 2 star hotels on the actual "way"in the centre of town which put this place to shame. I was in one of them last night to meet a friend and the rooms were beautiful and clean and the staff outstandingly helpful....think before you book!!
"hotel in burgos"
lovely room, I slept like a log burgos much nicer place than I thought it would be they should mention that the train station is outside the city itself. or have a decent bus service to the city itself
"Good quality / price"
If you are passing by Spain and want sleep in a nice hotel, with some quality, come here. Only the garage is very tiny and you will payed in addition. The personnel very kind and helpful. The rooms with view to the river are perfect. I'll come back. Only the air conditioning was not warm, not cool in December.
"Nice hotel in nice city"
The hotel is located very well close to the historical center and to the nicest catedral. Rooms are very nice and clean every day. Breakfast are fresh made and the juices are from fresh fruits. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
