"Amazing staff, fab hotel"
I stayed here for 10 days in May on business and had a fabulous stay. All of the staff were fantastic, but special mentions to the concierge and front desk staff- nothing was too much trouble, and the tangoshow, small group tour and. Walking tour recommendations were fabulous. . Breakfast was great and room lovely. My only small disappointment was room service- quite a small menu and quality of food not as good as I had hoped. That said, a truly stunning hotel whose staff make it. Thank you all so much
"Best Hotel in Buenos Aires"
We have been to Buenos Aires over eight times and have stayed and multiple hotels around the city, therefore I believe to have a good point of reference. This is without a doubt the best hotel in Buenos Aires! The rooms although on the small side, are perfectly decorated in a classic style. The staff is phenomenal: they greeted us by our names (how do they do it!), knew that we had two reservation one week apart, offered us to leave things at the hotel to reduce our load while traveling around the country since we were staying there our last night before leaving the country, and on and on. The staff is just superb. We also ate at their restaurant and its a french culinary delight and highly recommended also. I will look no further....this is where I will always stay in Buenos Aires and look forward to my next visit!
My better half and I were trapped in BA due to Hurricane Harvey. Instead of making life difficult during this very stressful time, the staff gave us a fantastic rate and even upgraded us to make our stay even more comfortable. The building is amazing and the area is so luxe. I highly recommend staying here!
No doubts this is one of the amazing hotels in Buenos Aires. The staff is friendly, the suites are large and well equipped. It is almost the perfection. Unfortunately, I experienced a bad situation in my room. An spider and its net in the roof. I think it is the kind of thing unacceptable in a hotel like this (it was a huge net). I requested to clean the roof. They did. But the net stayed at the same place. And to complete the awful situation, the dead spider was throwned inside the jacuzzi.
"An elegant hotel on a quiet street in the Retiro"
The Sofitel Buenos Aires Arroyo is a modern, well-kept hotel in a quiet side street in the Retiro district, convenient to public transport at the Plaza San Martin, and within walking distance of the main shopping districts of the Calle Florida and shops in the Recoleta. Service was excellent, and we were well taken care of by Mario Holguin, the head receptionist, and and Pablo, the concierge. Our room was quite large and comfortable, and was well-maintained by housekeeping. Only two minor items marred our experience - the reader of our room key in one of the elevators (the elevators are secured against non-guests riding up in them) wouldn't read our room key, and it took a while for water in our shower to run hot.
