"Nice hotel, but service could have been better."
It's a beautiful building for sure and the room was nice. I found the staff helpful, but they need to explain to guests their policy for blocking credit cards at check in (they take the cost of the entire stay, not just one night's reservation), so basically you pay everything when you arrive so you have no flexibility if you want to change hotel or leave BA for somewhere else. Also, it can take a week or two to get the card unblocked - big issue if you are traveling around. Finally, when we were leaving the taxi that was ordered for us never came and we ended up bolting up the street with suitcases in tow to find a cab to get to the airport. The door staff didn't even try to follow up even though we were standing in the doorway for about 20 minutes looking forlorn. I don't really understand the door policy - too many guys standing around in long coats looking bored opening doors for you. Felt a bit intimidating. The location is good though and a short walk to the subway. The street outside looked like a bomb had hit it due to some council works going on. It kind of ruined the ambience a little.
I really appreciate how amazing the staff generally were at the hotel. On this particular day I had come back from an exhausted day of work and wanted to find some vegetarian food close by. I was given map and explained by the concierge but still managed to get lost. 25 minutes later I walked back to hotel and Juan opened the door. I asked if he could redirect me to the restaurant I was looking for. Without a second of hesitation he walked me to the restaurant I was looking for and explained to the restaurant staff in Spanish that I was vegetarian. Outstanding service!
"Nice city, nice area, nice hotel"
Interesting architecture: An older building partially preserved with lavish modern additions. Friendly and very competent reception staff, with quick decision-making, too (about charges or check out, things like that). A bar and a small restaurant on the ground floor, very nice breakfast buffet. Rooms are not huge but good division of space and very comfortable (separate armchair, writing desk). Bathroom relatively small but absolutely everything was there. Nice part of town, street in front of hotel was under renovation but taxis could drive up. Had some snack food in the bar, was good, drinks too. A 4.5 rating.
"Luxurious Boutique Hotel"
The hotel is very well located in an exclusive part of Buenos Aires. It is walking distance to multiple quality restaurants. The staff is very professional, welcoming and provides exceptional customer service. The boutique hotel competes with the best in Buenos Aires without the traffic others may attract....
