"Fab stay in a modern, clean hotel!"
This hotel is great-very clean and spacious with big rooms and modern throughout. The hotel is located conveniently from the airport (around 20 mins), and also not far from Salvador old town (Pelourinho) and the nightlife (Rio Vermelho). The staff are really great and gave us some good recommendations for things to do. The wifi is fast and free to use. There is a rooftop swimming pool, bar and hot tub with entertainment in the evenings which was really good. There is a huge shopping mall right behind the hotel as well in case you need to get anything. The breakfast is decent for Brazil and has the usual variety of cereals, bread, eggs etc. Great hotel-would recommend highly!
Whenever I want to stay near the shopping mall it is my hotel of choice. It is easy to get to the airport in the morning as the journey to the airport is against the flow of traffic. Large, clean, well equipped bedrooms with friendly staff make this my hotel of choice.
"Quick visit in Salvador"
I stayed at the intercity in Salvador for a night, the building looks very modern and has a very nice shopping mall very close to it. The staff was very helpful and nice. I was lucky enough to have an ocean view room, I watched the sunset and it was pretty amazing! Unfortunately I did not find the room very clean.
Great hotel and very cost effective! The pool on the top with amazing view was the highlight! Great customer service specially at front desk and with sweet atitude yiu can get awesome service from the guys at the pool restaurant! The price was right on and the room was better than expected. Phenomenal shower!!! The brekfast was the only disappointment. Other than that...great hotel to stay with or wout kids!
"Good place to stay near Salvador central bus station and Salvador Shopping"
We stayed in this hotel just for a night as we wanted someplace close to the bus station (for our commute from Lencois) and relatively close to the airport for our onward flight to Rio de Janeiro. For sightseeing in Salvador proper we stayed at the Pousada Boqueirao in San Antonio which is a much more charming area to stay in. I have reviewed that Pousada separately. This is a hotel catered to business travelers a 10 min walk away from Iguatemi bus station (the route to the hotel includes a very long sheltered overhead bridge), although if you have a lot of luggage and/or arriving late at night, I would advise that you take a cab instead. The building itself looks rather shiny and impressive from the outside, but the reception, corridors, lobby area is non-descript. The receptionist did not speak much English. The hotel is not on a main road but there were always a couple of taxis waiting outside the hotel so transportation to and from the hotel by cab is not an issue. We got a double room on one of the highest floors with a good view. The room and bathroom are very modern and spacious and things worked well. There is sky lounge at the top of the building with a panoramic view of the city skyline and there is a pool, open-air jacuzzi (unsure if it was operational) and a gym on the same floor. Take some time to check out the sky lounge while you are there! Location wise, the hotel is close to a very large modern shopping centre where you can go shopping for Havaianas etc. There is a massive food court at the top serving all types of food. We ate at a very popular por kilo place in the food court called Divino Fogao - the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The breakfast had a good variety of options both continental and local. Quality was average. Given the price we paid, I would say the hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a location close to the central bus station and near a massive modern shopping mall. Ironically, because this is not a tourist area but a commercial area, the area around the hotel feels "safer" in relative terms.
