"Great Thai Hospitality Service"
I have never had a bad experience staying at Intercon Bangkok and it been awhile that I had stayed. On this family holiday, we all descided to stay at the Intercon. Location is excellent as its close to dinning and shopping malls. The service on arrival at the hotel was warm and friendly. Check in was efficient and prompt. The room is large and comfortable and I love the large TV right in front of the bed. The bed is very comfortable but regretfully the pillows are too soft and did not look at the pillow menu.bathrooms is well appointed and large as well. However, the room could do with an update. Breakfast has always been excellent at the intercon, even though the hotel was busy, the staff managed to cope with the demands.Qaulity of the food is very good as well. Thumbs up to the front office staff from the reception to the porters and doormen are good and always paying attention.

I have always enjoyed my stay at the Intercontinental Bangkok Hotel. Friendly and helpful staffs especially Ms. Apple, Laila and Fairy who are always so helpful and polite to make every guest feel at home. 5-star hotel with 7-star service!! Thank you so much ladies for making my stay each time a wonderful experience !! :)
Back for the 2nd time this year, with outstanding service and help from everyone but especially the club lounge staff. As ever top service professional and always a smile. Have stayed in many other hotels but this is the brst

There is nothing I can fault this hotel for. My favourite things about it: 1. Spacious & beautiful rooms. 2. Excellent Housekeeping & service fr staff. 3. Quality toiletries 4. Great location - surrounded by Malls & nearby a bts station. I like that it connects to the Gaysorn Mall that links you to the covered bridge that leads to towards Big C & Platinum Mall. Very handy on a rainy day. Meets the standards expected of an IHG hotel
"My experience was not quite as good as before, but still good!!"
I have stayed at this hotel previously and received great service, so I was looking forward to returning. I was picked up at the airport as arranged and taken to the hotel. Normally, during the drive to the hotel, if you are an Ambassador member, they call you in the car to greet you. However, this time I was just asked the driver if I wanted a ‘smoking’ or ‘non smoking’ room rather than speak to me directly. I was a little confused I as have this stated in my profile. Upon arrival, I was greeted by one of the staff members who asked me if I would prefer to be checked in at the club lounge instead of my room. I explained I was tired and just wanted a shower and a bed to rest for a couple of hours. I was then taken to me room, and met by one of Club Lounge staff members, who told me that the room was not ready, as they thought I wanted a smoking room. To be honest, if they told me that when they called earlier, I would have taken the smoking room. I therefore had to head back to the lounge where I had a complimentary welcome drink. Eventually I was taken to my room, which was a one bedroom suite. The room as before was very nice, with a separate living area and bedroom. A good sized shower / bathroom. This was more like what I was looking forward to. If you paid for the Club Lounge you can have complimentary breakfast, high tea and canapés / cocktails. Well worth the extra money (for me anyway). The hotel itself was excellent and the lady at the concierge desk was great. The only let down was the staff on the Club Lounge, who were fabulous the last time I visited. Apart from the situation with the room on my arrival, the Club Lounge Team also managed to forget to change the time of my airport transport (departure) and I had a couple of times where my food was different from what I ordered. However, I still think this is minor (even though it took up most of my review) and would put it down as a ‘one off’ based on my previous experience here. I will definitely use this hotel again and hotel review it as 5 stars instead of 4 Stars
