"Give it a miss"
Well if staying in Phnom Penh then choose the soffitel over this hotel. After a long flight we were expected to stand up and yell over the herds off people running through the foyer due to a large conference re locating to a buffet dinner The booking in took so long we missed the club lounge that we had paid extra for . When we complained we were given a drink in the lounge while the staff were packing up The room was good but cost so much more than the soffitel which came with a balcony and 5 star service and views over the city . After staying so long in the foyer we were asked by bell hop would we like him to take our bags up. Today or next week we thought ' Why are we having to give instruction to the staff The wi fi and phone reception was poor . The bed was comfortable but so is ours at home so you expect more than a good bed and good linen . We asked for a smoking room which we were not allocated. On arriving in a non smoking room (which we had booked months before) we complained. The non smoking room without a balcony became a smoking room . ( strange ) All in all the two hotel are as different as chalk and cheese . Give the intercontinental the miss and head as fast as you can to the soffitel !
"Good hotel at Phnom Penh"
The room is kept clean, the bed is large and comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style with various menus. The pool is large and clean, with a gym. There are few shops around the hotel so you can not enjoy walking around the hotel.
"Best gym "
Large gym with all needed equipment from treadmills, bikes, etc. Staff was very nice. Good pool with bar. Good breakfast buffet. Not in the busiest part of Phnom Penh. Uber works well in Phnom Penh now.
"bit antique but finest "
stayed here for our family vacation, hotel itself not newly built but one of the finest hotel in Phnom Penh. Staff are friendly, morning buffet is good plus club lounge is highly recommended. drinks and canapés are free in the club lounge during the day.
"Unparalleled customer service and luxury."
After 10 days of working out of a hotel I would not normally feel as pampered and comfortable as I do today after being here! The hotel is excellent in cleanliness, decor and amenities (they even opened the gym 1 hour early as our team was off to work by 6:30). The staff, however, are what take this hotel to an elevated level of amazing. Every morning they greeted us with smiles, knowledge of who would want coffee or tea. The breakfast buffet is literally jaw dropping superb- so many options for fruit, pancakes, eggs of many varieties, Asia dishes - the list goes on! They staff are impeccable. The front desk and door staff as well are excellent. This is ABSOLUTELY the only place I will stay in Phnom Penh. Best rating I've given goes to Intercontinental!
