The Taj Palace Hotel is located in the Deira district in Dubai, and is near to the kaleidoscope of attractions that the city offers, such as lively souks and water sports at the Jumeirah beach. The hotel itself is only a 10 minute drive from Dubai International Airport. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to the beach and to the shopping malls.

"Graduation Celebration with My sister"
Strong Points: Jood Palace Hotel is big and really nice. The bellman is very polite. The people in the housekeeping department are polite and attended to our needs very fast and smoothly. This is the reason why Im giving it 2 out of 5...... >I found the receptionist very unfriendly... I don't know why it is hard for him to smile and greet us in a nice way (maybe he has some personal problem or what) the only thing is it is our first stay in the hotel and since we are celebrating my graduation day and since it is ramadan we ask for complementary upgrade of a room if possible, he said not possible because they are fully booked! ( oh' Really' Ramadan') but let's give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe yes it is true that they are fully booked but I'm expecting at least a smile or just at least congratulations, I don't know if it is because I worked as a customer service representative before that is why I'm expecting too much with this 5 star hotel. So it's just okay.... but as we go along.... AC is not cooling so we ask for assistance and then when it is time to brush our teeth... we request for tooth brush and tooth paste and then before taking a bath we request for shampoo... I don't know their rules but as far as I know... these amenities should already be ready on the bathroom upon check-in.... I'm not mad... I still have until Saturday to stay in the hotel... maybe I just expect too much....
"Not service minded"
First of all I don’t understand how this hotel is a 5 star hotel' The entrance looks really nice and the pool is also nice in this area but the rooms are not. The carpets are old and smelly, you feel ”dirty” when you walk without shoes. This is one of the worse hotels when it comes to service. First of all when I came, everything went a bit to fast and I got my room. It was a nice room on 11th floor but smelly, I realized I was in a smoking room but I booked a non-smoking one. I called and they told me to wait so I can get a new room. Finally after 15 minutes I got one room, on 3rd floor. I booked a room with a balcony (which I payed extra for because I suppose to have a city view). It was a balcony, with two metal chairs and a wall infront of me. I don’t understand why I have to pay extra for this' I complained and they told me those nice rooms up are for smokers and those with walls for us who don’t smoke. Nice to be punished because I don’t smoke. I asked for another room and they showed me a room for smokers again. I gave up. It’s Ramadan, which means lot of empty rooms, make an offer and upgrade, do something good. Everybody are not smoking and please think outside the box! In the room there was a electric kettle missing, so I could not make coffee or tea. I called and they told me they will come up with one. I wanted for 30 minutes and there was no kettle. Day after after the cleaning, there were towels missing, I called and they suppose to come with some towels, of course they didn’t. So after 30 minutes I had to call again. And there was still one towel, hand towel, missing. Ok I survived without a hand towel but come on, 5 star hotel' Plus - Close to the Al Rigga street where you have all restaurants and life going on. - The pool is nice, the fake green gras makes it a bit soft and cosy and maybe a bit better for feet when its hot. The wood sun beds are comfortable. - The gym is also nice for this area. Minus - Service. Terrible service. You have to ask and be specific… in a 5 star hotel, the service should be on top and above the ”good”. - The rooms, are probably 3-4 stars, not more. Carpet is not fresh. - Balconies. Learn from the pool, make it cosy if you take extra and if you have to face a wall/building. - The rooms, still it can be a bit noisy. On the booking page it says noise-proof but still noisy but manageable. - No information in the room about breakfast, prices, offers etc (i did not get any information about this either when I checked in) Conclusion If you area smoker, chose 11th floor, nice view and no walls. If you are non smokers and don’t want to face a wall, don’t pay extra for the balcony and pay extra and choose another hotel.
""Cheaper 5 Star price but Expensive Service Quality”"
This property is quite near Dubai International Airport by 15 minutes drive. Al Riga Metro station is 5 minutes walking distance from hotel, so easily you can roam around. Surrounding the property are pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Checking -in is fast and easy compared to checking -out. Staff are friendly and polite. At the 11th floor, you can find the Spa and gym while the pool is in the same floor but at the rooftop, these amnesties are perfectly enticing for a great stay. The hotel is a bit old but still with cozy, elegant and spacious room. Price is fair considering it's a 5 star hotel. The only negative feedback during my stay is the costly breakfast but Cheap variety of foods.
"Big and Beautiful"
Very nice and spacious rooms. Lobby area is very big with a lot of seating available. The pool on the roof top is heated, so it is nice to take a swim even at night. Room service was very slow though.. had to make several phone calls to remind that we asked for towels almost an hour ago.
