"Great convention venue"
Recently stayed for a business convention. Room was amazing with attention to detail from the staff. Decor was spectacular. Convention venues were very nice and had plenty of room. Pool with the lazy river was clutch! Food served through the hotel was very good as well. Shout to the concierge as she directed us to a great local joint to eat!
I recently stayed there for two days prior to moving over to Imperial Palms. The property was well kept and beautiful. The room was pleasant especially with the 65 inch TV. My only gripe about the room was that, even though I used Marriott Rewards Points for it, I was upsold for a balcony room which cost me an extra 20,000 points. That room was overrated because the balcony was not accessible. There was outside work going on with scaffolding outside my window and they had the sliding doors bolted shut. Had I known this I could have saved my 20,000 points for another stay. I should have been told the issue at check-in. The restaurants are way overpriced. I mean $30 for a breakfast buffet is ridiculous. No one was ever in there at breakfast time and now I understand why. Even the non-buffet breakfast was almost $30. The Kitchen was good with a very pleasant bartender. The Starbucks staff was amazing. On a last note, I think the $35 per day resort fee is outrageous. I mean for what, extra internet speed and a innertube for the lazy river' Not to mention the parking fees which were about $25 a day as well. All in all, a nice place to stay and I may stay again. The nickel and dimeing have got to go.
"A Beautiful Property!"
We just spent 14 nights at this amazing hotel in mid-May and from start to end, our stay could not of been any better. When we checked in, Eli at the front desk was super friendly and surprised us with an upgrade to an executive suite up on the 26th floor, which is the highest floor. (Room 26007) The minute we walked into the suite, we were blown away by how large and spacious it was and it had an unbelievable view of the pool/lake. At night you could even see the Disney fireworks. The bed overall was extremely heavenly comfortable, definitely one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Plus, every single night we got room service with chocolates. Maria, the housekeeper was amazing and took such good care of our room. The lazy river at the hotel is amazing and is super relaxing. The restaurant out by the pool is unbelievable as well along with their buffet restaurant on the ground floor. Also, the hotel's air quality is absolutely amazing for people who suffer from allergies in both the room and whole hotel. There were no overpowering odors or smells in any part of the hotel. In the lobby and public spaces, they do pipe in a smell as it's just a soothing non-chemically vanilla smell. We were told from the front desk that they have an infuser, but it is not a chemical. The smell didn't bother me at all. Without a doubt, I would totally stay here again and every single staff member that we encountered at the hotel were super friendly along with housekeeping. If you love elegance, luxury, and want to relax in Orlando, this is truly the best hotel for you! We already are planning on coming back in the very near future! Thank you JW Marriott for an unforgettable stay!
"Luxury Family Experience"
The room itself is amazing. We stayed in a standard room with a king size bed. There was a 65"+ HDTV mounted to the wall across from the bed. The picture quality was excellent (which is not always what you get at hotels even with a good tv) We could login to our Netflix account (directly from the tv) and stream kid shows. The bed was luxurious, with a thick pillow top. It slept wonderfully. The love seat was comfortable and the coffee table gave our daughter a nice place to play. The bathroom has a separate soaking tub and shower set up with a large vanity. The bathroom is done in stone and is very high-end. Our room had a small balcony that overlooked the front of the resort. For an extra fee, you can get a view of the pool, lake, and/or golf course. I only interacted with hotel staff at check-in and check-out, this wasn't due to their lack of attentiveness, but my introvert family. There is a $35 per night resort fee at this hotel (it cannot be waived). This provides for free premium internet (cost $19.99 a la carte), a credit for dry cleaning service, free shuttles to the theme parks, 2 inter-tubes at the lazy river, and a few other things I don't remember in detail. Parking is not gratis, unless you are a Marriott Elite member - I was offered free self-parking or 500 bonus points (I took the parking). We were able to find reasonable rates by booking directly through Marriott and looking at the deals and/or resort packages. I have stayed here for both work related conferences and on family friendly vacations. Not on this trip, but I have used the shuttle to the parks and onsite ticket services - all of which were excellent. The best part of our mini-vacation was the Lazy River and adjoining pools. Guests of the Marriott have access to all of the pools on the property. The Lazy River with the walkovers with fountains squirting into the pool. The landscaping around the pool is beautiful as well. This is a luxury hotel with all the amenities that go with it. My 5-year old daughter loves this hotel and the pool.
Stayed at the JW Marriot in connection with a business conference. Hotel grounds were very nice and the staff was very helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. Very good conference facilities and modern gym!
