"Great property but management could be improved."
I have to say upfront that I really do like this property. It has very nice rooms with fantastic beds, great bathrooms and huge TVs. Pool area is also outstanding for those with and without children. Really my only complaint about this property is that you leave feeling like you are really being nickeled and dimed to death. From the resort fees to the parking fees ,which apparently are not waived for either AAA Plus or Marriot Rewards Elite Members, to the $32 charge for breakfast etc...These things really ruin a place which would otherwise be a no brainer south Orlando favorite. I am sure to return but it may be awhile.
This hotel is opulent, and well staffed. My only issue is parking which is so far from entrance, ugh. The hotel has amazing restaurants including the pool bbq service , full bar to relax with. The pool areas are amazing! kick back and relax. Close to Orland attractions such as Disney and local dining. My favorite,we visit multiple times a year
"Good for conference "
Went to this hotel for a 3 day conference. The conference facilities where amazing as well as the grounds, everyday I walked for around and hour around the lake and saw some good wildlife (deer etc). The rooms where not that good and breakfast was pathetic.
"Nice, but not the most friendly staff. No fee WiFi. "
The hotel is beautiful. The views are amazing and the concierge staff were fantastic. Room was clean when we got there, but not stocked with shampoo, conditioner, etc. Checkout process was difficult through there in room checkout and wouldn’t show a complete bill. Parking was expensive and there’s only free WiFi in the lobby. Front desk staff and housekeeping was adequate but not incredibly helpful or friendly. We never did get the chance to use the pool but it looks amazing and has a lazy river. Would consider staying again on next trip to Orlando. Breakfast was overpriced, but the food was delicious.
"Beautiful property, poor service, ridiculous surcharges"
The property itself is beautiful, and it's very nice to have access to the Ritz's amenities. Whoever is in charge of the physical property has done their job very well. That being said, the service, other than the front desk, was very poor. Having to call four times, and then finally going down to the consierge to help me get four additional plates for our "grande"suite is inexcusable. I will let it slide once or twice-things happen-but this was a recurrent theme the entire four night stay. This is an expensive property, and service should be top notch. Speaking of expensive- the parking charges, internet charges, and resort fees added on to the bill are ridiculous. The final bill had double parking fees and a room service charge for something that was not ordered. It was quickly fixed by a lovely person at the front desk, which was greatly appreciated.
