Holiday Inn London Kensington is just 150 metres from High Street Kensington Underground Station. The famous Museum Mile is a 10-minute walk, and Earl’s Court is a 15-minute walk away.
Hotel ok. Quiet location. Breakfast ok.Comment of T. Johan , Denmark the 2016-11-28
Great location, clean room. Check in very slow and only one lift working on our side of the building, but I would definitely stay here again, great value for money.Comment of M. Stephanie , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Had a family weekend in London with my 74 year old mother, 14 year old niece and 5 year old daughter. All of our needs were catered for. The rooms had been refurbished and were clean and tidy. The staff were so helpful and friendly it was a pleasure staying there. Location is fab.Comment of S. Donna , United Kingdom the 2016-10-30
Although the hotel is now branded as a Holiday Inn, the service and helpfulness of the staff has not changed. It was again very enjoyable stay.Comment of B. Ian , United Kingdom the 2016-10-25
It was a very pleasant experience staying here for two nights. Since we arrived, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was impeccable and very comfortable. The locations is fantastic having the underground a block away and the hotel can arrange any transport for you. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.Comment of B. "Noisy and not the best service "
We got the hotel through the last minutes secret rooms, and were pleased with the choice when we saw the star rating, but it didn't live up to expectations One tip: if you send guests to a room a ten minute walk away, and the lock is broken, when they come back twenty minutes later and you have empty rooms to move them to, don't make them walk all the way back to prove it. Just take their word for it and move them. Because of this it took us 40 minutes to actually get into a room, soaking wet from the rain. Also, the rooms are very noisy, even if the air con is off it rumbles, and pipes are banging. And the beds aren't really that comfortable. And the bathroom door didn't lock. It was fine for one night but if I was there for a while I'd have been very put off
"Yes and No"
Holiday Inn took over the Kensington Close Hotel a couple of years ago. The rooms have been refurbished. The common areas have all been upgraded. There is an indoor pool, spa, gym and restaurant. It is reasonably priced for the area which is very convenient to transportation and shopping in the Kensington area. The one negative is that the rooms are small.
"Awesome staff, loved it!!"
Spent 6 days here while we were exhibiting at a show, clean rooms, super friendly and helpful staff, great facilities. Entertained by Alin, Virgil and Veronika at the bar who were amazing, try the caipirinha. I dropped £20 at the cash point, 5 minutes later a security guy was giving it back to me, after checking CCTV to find me and confirm identity. Food was really very good too, literally had not a single complaint other than the room wasn’t the biggest, but we paid for a standard and you get what you pay for!! Some plonker set the fire alarm off at 4:30am smoking in a non-smoking room.... TWICE 😡😡 but no fault of the hotel just stupid guests. All in all highly recommended, staff really couldn’t have been any more helpful, cheerful or friendly.
"Excellent location, Fabulous Breakfast, Wonderful staff"
We stayed in two spells in May and June, 2017. Our rooms were very small, with hardly any space to move, but the design was very compact and excellently planned, so we did not much mind the size. The location of the hotel - just a 4-5 minutes walk to the High Street metro station and all the brand shops, and eating places, including Mac Donalds, on High Street - is very convenient. If you don't mind a slightly longer walk, you can walk it to the Natural History Museum and Harrods too. You can leave your luggage at the hotel storeroom at no cost if you have arrived early or have to check out but have a late flight, and go for a stroll in the Kensington Garden which is just a short walk away. The breakfast is sumptuous with a large variety, including several vegetarian options, which are rare to come by in most hotels in UK. The made to order omelets and DIY pancakes, with a variety of syrups, are highly recommended. The black pudding was also excellent. The serving staff are very friendly and helpful, making the breakfast experience a great pleasure.
Good location. Good breakfast. Nice spa facilities. Very small room and house keeping will knock on your door each morning which is very annoying when trying to have a lie in, they knocked at half 8 one morning.
