"Quirky hotel, wonderfully located"
Spent three nights there, in May, couldn't fault it. We were on the second floor, with a full height double door onto a French balcony, with which we were delighted. One could sit up in bed and watch the world go by, as it did, for almost 24hours a day. Marseille never sleeps it seems, but double glazing meant little or no noise disturbance. Room and hotel decoration is mostly 'Mondrian' style. Staff were delightful, breakfast was not cheap, Euro18pp, but good value. Would definitely stay again.
"Perfect location. Perfect hotel."
This is a lovely hotel. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a top quality Marseille experience. My mother and I stayed here for 4 nights in early May 2017. Our room (room 602) overlooked the beautiful Vieux Port and up to Notre Dame de la Garde, an incredible church on top of the hill above Marseille. This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Metro and is ideal for walking to a range of stunning museums and monuments including the Fort St Jean (which combines historic and modern architecture in the most breathtaking way, as well as housing the MuCEM) and Vieille Charite which is in the old Panier district. The staff are delightful - the service is excellent. Fantastic breakfast. Great restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The list goes on. I thought this was wonderful: independent, stylish and fun, convenient. It's a yes from me.
"Beautiful view, superb staff and great value for money"
Location superb, right beside the metro station and not far from local bus stops, main railway station in Marseille two stops away on the metro , staff are very friendly and professional, hotel restaurant was fantastic, best meals in Marseille that we had, try lunch and dinner (we did both) at the very least, if staying a few days and great value, great service. View from the bedrooms is amazing over the Port. Top tip, there is an expresso machine in the Hotel Lounge, have a coffee and sit outside in the sun watching the world go by . We stayed 11 nights and could not fault anything other that could have stayed longer. Other thing to do is go to Fort St Jean just nearby, costs nothing, and cross over to the modern museum where you get a superb view over the sea and have a coffee or beer and a seat. Great Wifi that works outside as well. And a PC with printer available for guests to use.
"Beautiful view, helpful staff"
Just spent 2 nights here and couldn't have been happier with the place. Staff was friendly and incredibly helpfu, and the view from my room of the old port was spectacular! Bed very comfy and decor was great! Merci!
"Lovely view over the old port"
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for cafes, restaurants, activities and shops Balcony great for watching the world go by and for the superb views. Restaurant a little limited in menu but food absolutely fine. A corkscrew in the room would have been helpful. Perhaps hotel getting a little tired with regards to decor in room and restaurant . Nevertheless, we found it a good place to stay and would return.
