"MY FIRST TRIP TO THE MIDDLE EAST"
This was my first trip to the Middle East and my first experience with Le Meridien properties and from the moment that I arrived to Le Meridien Amman Jordan I was blown away. From the outside the hotel is a visually pleasing building. The lobby is very tastefully and comfortably decorated. I had a large, stylishly decorated room with an ultra-comfortable king sized bed. My first night stay was a little rough because I had forgotten my electric transformer so I could use my CPAP machine. The next morning I spoke with Mr. Ahmed and he came up to my room with the head of engineering. When the engineer couldn't come up with a plan to help me get my CPAP machine functional Mr. Ahmed put me in a taxi to Super Buy to buy a transformer and had the taxi driver wait for me all at the hotels expense. I arranged for a driver to take me to Petra the next day and that day also happened to be my birthday. Petra was an amazing experience and should not be missed. After arriving back to my hotel I got a call in my room and was told by the caller that because it was my birthday a birthday cake was being sent to my room. The cake was a smaller, but, delicious whole chocolate cake with strawberries. The next day I met Mr. Ramzi one of the concierges. I asked Mr. Ramzi for information regarding a particular restaurant that I had read about and he called the restaurant, told the manager that I was coming for dinner and asked him to show me some "Jordanian Hospitality". On the morning of my last night in Amman I asked Mr. Ramzi to recommend a wine store and he directed me to a particular store about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel and directed me to tell the owner that Mr. Ramzi from Le Meridien referred me. His referral got me a discount on the Palestinian and Jordanian wines that I was interested in. Later that day I related to Mr. Ramzi that my flight from Queen Alia International Airport to Paris was not until 0120 and he suggested that he get me a late check out. I said that a late check was not necessary as I still had some sightseeing to do but I asked him if he could possibly arrange it for me to store my luggage, swim and lounge around the pool until dinner and then after dinner I would depart for the airport. Mr. Ramzi not only got me a 1400 check out time but came through with a plan to allow me my pool and relaxation time. The extra time was an added PLUS because I was dusty from walking around the city that morning and I got to swim, shower and change clothes before my flight. From my initial contact with the doorman, to Omar at registration, to the gentleman that arranged my travel to Petra and MOST ESPECIALLY TO MR. RAMZI I experienced FIRST CLASS HOSPITALITY, SERVICE AND FRIENDSHIP. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY IF YOU EVER VISIT AMMAN.
"Favorite hotel in Jordan"
My wife and I are completing our 3 week stay in Jordan and Le Meridien has been our favorite. The rooms are both luxurious and immaculate. The bathrooms are spotless and enormous. The breakfast is delicious with a bountiful selection. The gym is new and full of the best equipment. The hotel is great but what make Le Meridien a 5 star experience is it's incredible staff. Ramzi, the concierge at the hotel is incredibly knowledgeable about Amman and is both helpful and friendly. He provided us with all the information we needed to make our visit to Amman an enjoyable one and we are very grateful to him. The hotel may look a bit dated from the outside but inside you will be amazed by it's beauty and warmed by the friendliness of the staff. 3 nights well spent at Le Meridien.
I dealt mainly with Amer at front desk. Looked after me from the moment I walked in the door until I checked out! Everyone in the hotel was so friendly.. I have actually made close friends with some of the staff. Did not feel like it was a solo trip at all.. will stay again.. back in July !! :)
It is a good hotel but it needs an intense renovation for the type of hotel it should be. The staff is excellent and helpful but the quality-price it is not ballance. It has a nice outdoor pool but it is sunny until 15hr in may. Quite of disappointing if you want to enjoy a bath after work. It also has a super spa with sauna free to use for guests. A little gym... and a lot of business rooms. Internet is enough for basic browsing but if you need files exchange you may have to wait much if you succeed. The breakfast choice is excellent.
"Some good some bad"
Nice hotel in Amman but starting to get a little tired. As a regular SPG traveler Le Meridien is starting to slip. This is most noticeable at breakfast with poor service and food debris not cleaned of the window bottom. Quality of food on the buffet is also not what is expected of a LE MERIDIEN hotel. Also don't expect the WIFI to work particularly well Highlight are the staff in the Steak house bar who looked after us very well. Also Emily in the Tiffany bar who is an exceptional member of the team.
