"Peaceful, Quiet, Comfortable!"
Very nice hotel with excellent staff. I arrived late evening and my check-in was less than 5 minutes to a non-smoking room. Hotel is not all non-smoking but that is ok understanding different country different culture so you must request a non-smoking room. Room was VERY clean, bed was firm and comfortable, and bathroom was a nice size considering most in middle east are pretty small. I enjoyed the breakfast (buffet style) because was a nice variety of dishes. I did not check out the pool and spa area but the food ordered for room service was good. November is a good time to travel to this area weather is nice not hot but not cold yet either may need light sweater or jacket for nights or early mornings but it feels good once sun comes out.
"Very poor standards hotel NOT suitable for non-smokers"
Smoking is encouraged everywhere in this hotel including in lobby, restaurants and ALL public areas. Worst of all smoke fumes circulate in the old AC system even non-smoking rooms absolutely sting of smoke smell. They use a pungent chemical air freshers to try and drain smoke smell to no avail. Complained to manager and staff who are useless and could not care less. PLEASE avoid this hotel if you don't want to passively smoke ALL of the time! Extremely unhealthy and unpleasant. Otherwise it is old, dilapidated, furniture and carpets full of stains. On a positive note the watering staff are very pleasant and hard-working.
"Old, yet elegant .."
I have spent 2 nights here, the hotel is among the oldest in Amman, yet it's well maintained and there is touch of elegancy in many areas. Very clean rooms, the appliances is old. The staff is very welcoming and very professional, I intent to remember Mr Amr on the reception. The most frustrated there is the internet, the speed is very slow and coverage is very bad. Overall it's very good hotel and money valued.
"Good hotel, excellent staff"
Well located hotel, close to the business areas. Also close to the area where there are plenty of good fine dining restaurants. It seems like the hotel has been around for a while and its decor appears a bit old-fashioned, but everything is quite well maintained and spick-and-span. Special mention for the staff who are genuinely welcoming and the warm smile never leaves their faces.
"Excellent hotel in Amman"
This was the first hotel I’ve visited that had security screening and barricades out front so I was admittedly nervous upon initial approach. However once inside, the staff and security couldn’t have been nicer. They were genuinely interested to know about me, and efficient and helpful. Everything you’d want in a hotel. Turns out the hotel was surprisingly large and well appointed. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby massive and stunning. Marble floors and ornate features adorned the place. Breakfast was especially memorable, with fresh baked goods, a huge buffet and tons of local authentic foods to sample. Service there, too, was excellent. If I ever return to Amman, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to the Le Meridien.
