"Comfortable weekend hotel"
We enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel and found it very pleasant and convenient to the city centre and station. Our only complaint would be the construction work outside which is not a pretty sight and extensive. No noise over the weekend however during the week it is likely to be a frustration. The service was excellent and so was the breakfast. I would return again once the construction work is complete which we believe is 5 years away!
"Outside building works spoil a very good hotel"
We researched this hotel online and it looked very good, had good reviews and was in the right location (easy walking distance to the very interesting town of Stuttgart. Upon arrival you are very aware of the massive construction works happening out the front and across the road from the hotel, which from an accessibility and visual point of view diminishes the features of this hotel! The hotel itself was very good, with excellent staff, a great lobby with a great collection of sculptures and other art. The rooms were impressive, good internet, free parking and a brilliant pool, spa and sauna! Breakfast was very good with a good selection and good service. The small restaurant Medoc was quite good but not brilliant. Unfortunately a good hotel was spoilt by the construction site.
"Comfortable and clean."
Chic Room was expectedly clean and nicely designed and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent, with freshly sequeezed (by yourself) carrots, celery, ginger, orange juices. Wide variety of cereals, fruits, teas, sasauges, etc. Wifi and Air conditioning were good and facilitated a very comfortable rest from the hot summer. Bath shampoo and soap smells nice! Can request for no housekeeping for a small reward. Free bottled water in room. Observed that the middle of the connecting rooms have stand up showers, which I prefer. My only minor complaints were that the curtains did not fully block the sunlight at the edge and the shower water was not hot enough (turned to max but still just warm although I reported at the conceirge)
"Super hotel but Not family friendly"
We visited with my daughter and son-in-law and their children who are 2 years and 10 months. I had booked us the top rooms (executive chic) as had been told they were large enough for a family. Really surprised at the size as when there was a child's bed and cot in the room there was no space. The quality of the cot was also disappointing. There was also a large bedside lamp - a glass ball that swung!! Really not suitable for a young family. My grandson knocked it and it shattered - we were charged 200euros at check out which we thought was completely over the top - although obviously expected to pay for the damage!! We asked for a mug of hot milk for my grandson while in reception, expecting to wait for it but front desk staff offered to bring up the mug of hot milk to the room! It cost us 2 euros which was fine but then they charged us 5 euros for room service!! Breakfast and bar food was excellent. Staff were generally great ignoring a couple of issues around late check out. We would return but it's not suitable with a young family.
"Not suitable for Families 200euros for a lamp!!"
My family and I stayed here for a friends' wedding. I will start with the positives; it was comfortable, close to the city centre, lovely bar food and a very good selection at breakfast (although some items that were supposed to be hot were cold). However this hotel is NOT suitable for Families with small children. We needed a cot for my 9months old and bed for my 2 year old. With both of these in the room (an executive chic), there was barely any space. The cots are horrendous and very uncomfortable! They also have a large glass ball which suspends from the ceiling as a bedside lamp. Within 10mins, my son accidentally knocked it slightly, it swung into the wall and smashed. I was expecting to have to pay, however 200euros for a bedside lamp is extreme!! While expecting a language barrier, you have to be really careful that the hotel understand you/are saying what they mean as several times they did the opposite of what we asked/they said. Lastly, I lost my passport (my fault) and they said they had searched the rooms including the one we had moved from due to broken lamp. I decided todouble check and found it in plain sight just under the bed. We had been out that room 5 days and they supposedly clean them everyday! If you are going for business, then you will probably be OK but as a family, I can't recommend this hotel.
