"stylish boutique hotel"
Comfortable room, big and very clean. Hotel locates at higher end neighbourhood with quite some restaurants and bars surrounding. Breakfast has no many options but all are in good quality, very tasty.
Overall very nice hotel and good value. Enjoyed our list to Quito and really no complaints. It would have nice to have two full queen size beds rather than the 2 full size beds but that is the only criticism.
This is our 7th night, and service has been exemplary from the special high-altitude tea upon our arrival through the support when one of us got a bit ill, to helping us out with last minute flight changes today. The room has comfortable beds and great climate control, and the breakfast included the usual fare of eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc., and daily specials such as ceviche, or pork in creamy sauce. All kinds of nice touches around the hotel such as roses and 4 different types of hot and cold tea. And then there is the staff: these folks were among the nicest and most helpful crew that we have ever encountered. They are personable and attentive to the needs of their clientele. Will not hesitate to stay again upon our return.
"Excellent Hotel in Quito"
Great hotel, as i see part of the GHL group, which are all excellent hotels. I would recommend to business people., traveler lovers etc. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, quiet, beds are excellent, A/c works perfect and internet fast. Location is great near the centre of Quito with everything a few minutes walk away
"Okay, Small, "Boutique" Hotel"
So in reality this hotel is somewhere between a 3 and a 4 for me but I'm going to put it at 3 and let me explain why. The hotel has some good advantages: they allow you to have a 2:00 pm check-out time which is very convenient, the towels are very plush and lovely and it is in a good part of the "new town" within walking distance of the large Quicentro Shopping Center. They also have very reasonable rates for transportation to/from the airport which I also appreciated very much. The driver that works for the hotel, Victor, was extremely helpful and professional, I continued using him even after I left the hotel. They also have free breakfast for guests although I did not have any. Rooms are quite spacious. On the negative side, unfortunately, my biggest issue was that even though I had said via email how much I would love a room "with a view" I instead got a room on the 3rd floor (room 303) which has a side view that looks directly out at mechanical ductwork for the hotel. If you are to stay here I would highly recommend that you insist on a higher floor. Secondly, they claim on their website to use L'Occitane amenities which are one of my favorites but they were nowhere to be seen in the room--instead there was some brand I'd never heard of. While this isn't such a big deal, don't say you offer something if you don't--or if it is just limited to certain rooms, since the website did not indicate that. The staff seemed friendlier via email than in person, not unfriendly, but not particularly friendly. I don't think they even asked if I enjoyed my stay. The air conditioning in the room seemed to be extremely weak (at best) and while it wasn't hot I did want it for air circulation as the room seemed very stuffy. There was extremely loud construction going on starting at 7:30 a.m. across the street as they are constructing a new building which isn't the fault of the hotel but still, it interrupted my sleep and was annoying. So all in all, this hotel is "average" in my opinion. If you get a good rate and don't mind its eccentricities (tiny floors, somewhat strangely designed rooms, etc) then you will be fine.
