"Great Hotel, Reasonable Pricing"
Great location - Montreal downtown, 3 min walk to main shopping area, not far from Old Port, good dinning options in the area. The room was very clean and quite. The bathroom was very clean. Staff polite. Overall -- very pleasant experience.
"Splendid Hotel in Montreal"
I had a lovely stay at Le St-Martin Hôtel Particulier Montréal for New Year’s Eve! The hotel had an excellent location and was super close to a number of restaurants, shops, and points of interest in Montréal. Upon check in, I was greeted by tremendously friendly and courteous staff members. Check-in was a breeze and my room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The front desk even called to check and make sure that everything was suitable in my room! All of the hotel staff members that I interacted with were professional and considerate. I also truly loved how much space there was, and the fact that there was a “fireplace.” My only grumble about the room was that it was particularly cold and there seemed to be a problem with the thermostat within. However, this was a minor inconvenience, and the heating/bedsheets and blanket proved to be sufficient. Because it was New Year’s Eve, the restaurant was closed, which was a little difficult as it was below 0 degrees outside and it made finding food quite burdensome! Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Le St-Martin Hôtel Particulier Montréal. I wish that I was able to enjoy the gym and the pool…this just means that I’ll have to come back again in the summertime!
"Wow, will stay again next year"
My wife and I stayed here for 3 days over new year and were very impressed with the service, rooms and general amenities. They were extremely courteous and accommodating with everything possible. We had the panoramic room which had spectacular view of three main streets in the downtown. Location was perfect.... We will certainly choose this option again.
"Swanky French hotel with a city view"
I was very impressed by the detail they put into this hotel right down to the plants and makeup mirror in the bathroom. The room was cozy spacious and very clean! The staff was exceptional! They were very helpful recommending the best places to eat. I loved the valet guys with their suits, ties and hospitality. They were always there opening the door for us as we entered the hotel. The pool area was spectacular!! I would highly recommend this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.
"Cachet and Comfort"
I chose to book at Le St. Martin again this year, for my week-end pre-Christmas getaway because the well-appointed rooms with chic decor, and attentive, courteous, and helpful service, make me feel like a welcome guest. They offer a complementary bottled water upon check-in, and a city map if you request it. The fantastic downtown location is very convenient - just a short walk to/from from the Via Rail train station, luxury shopping at Ogilvy's, Holt Renfrew, Simons, as well as the Museum of Fine Arts and numerous restaurants in the area. On this visit I enjoyed one of the spacious Particulier Rooms on the 16th Floor. What a luxury! The large oval recessed ceiling and stained glass window were beautiful architectural elements in the room. The large soaking tub with TV in the bathroom, as well as the bathrobe and slippers provided, made it so easy and comfortable to unwind and rest. The room was welcoming, very well maintained, and immaculate. The gas fireplace added an element of coziness and relaxation. The bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet on the 16th floor (with the exception of the heater that rattled a bit when it came on). The Keurig coffee maker in the room is convenient and a welcome touch, to make a quick coffee in the morning, before heading out. On a previous visit, I stayed in one of their classic rooms, and the cachet of the dark wood panelling that separates the bathroom from the sleeping area creates a pleasing room layout that does not look like most hotel rooms. The lovely decor and nice touches in the room, like a high back chair with ottoman, create a unique and pleasing space to read and relax. I do prefer to stay in a room above the 5th floor to minimize the traffic noise, but the street view and energy on de Maisonneuve Street is lively. I look forward to my next visit, and I'll book one of their Grand Luxe or Verriere Rooms to see what the ambience is like in these rooms. I am very happy to have discovered this little jewel of a hotel in downtown Montreal.
