A 6-minute walk from the MUSA underwater art museum, this all-inclusive, adults-only resort is also 4.2 km from the Museo Maya de Cancún archaeological museum.
This is a high quality hotel! Few points are: waiters seeking tips and impairing service in the absence (it is a all inclusive hotel, people are not always with money); infra could have more covered areas for rainy days; and the price that is expensive, although owing due all things offered. I totally recommend it for everyone looking for a remarkable experience in cancun!Comment of V. Breno , Brazil the 2016-12-26

Everything was great. Staff was outstanding. Food delicious.Comment of S. Susan , United States the 2015-08-01
The hotel, food and service were outstanding. First time for me to book all-inclusive/ adults only resort and I loved it. Particularly the different restaurants with their food choices and quality/freshness/innovation of meals impressed me. I gave sound insulation an "average" - our room was next to elevator and we could hear everyone coming and going, but that was the only negative thing. Also, the hotel put together a special party for the FIFA Soccer end game which was outstanding.Comment of M. Christiane , United States the 2014-06-25
"Amazing Service & Experience "
This is my 10th consecutive year traveling to Cancun Mexico right after the Christmas Holiday. I typically choose Secrets Adults only hotels because I know exactly what their standard is - but some friends we were traveling with couldn’t justify the cost and we settled on LIVE AQUA. This resort is almost half the price of Secrets - and just as perfect, if not better! I sometimes hesitate staying in the old hotel zone because in my mind the buildings are old and run down, I was wrong! The other benefit of this hotel is that the tourist mall is right across the street- if you get tired of the hotel food or want a change of scenery, it’s literally 10 steps away… Go shopping, a movie, swim with dolphins, or even Rent-A-Car and drive to playa which we did one afternoon/evening! I’m 43 years old and I’m a smart woman, I would never buy a timeshare, but I bought one here, I can’t wait to come back to Live Aqua next year! It was my birthday on January 14, and my boyfriend proposed to me on the beach… It’s been a celebration all week long here at live aqua. These people certainly know how to make a person feel special! One thing Live Aqua could work on, is the entertainment- add a piano bar, pool activities, etc. The beach is perfect tho!
"Perfect resort for some R&R!!"
This was the perfect resort for a low-key, relaxing vacation! This was our first all-inclusive vacation and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a party resort, I probably won't recommend this place since things wind down pretty early here. There is one bar that stays open till 1am, but to be honest when you've been drinking all day, who needs to stay up that late! Room - We were welcomed with a cute rice art message on our bed upon arrival after a quick and easy check-in. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable 5 night stay. Food - You'll never go hungry here. I think I ate my body weight in food! You wake up to a breakfast buffet at Siete, where you get fresh smoothies by the AMAZING Marco, omelets, pastries, you name it! Or you can order a full breakfast to your room and get fresh pineapple juice in the morning! Lunch at Azur for Mediterranean and a beach view. Sea Corner for tacos and ceviche. Varenna for pizza and pasta! Hidden Garden for Asian/India. Beware it's pretty hidden! We tried everything. Mb was our favorite though restaurant with modern cuisines (Yes, it's a long wait, but you just hang out and get drinks by the bar, which isn't so bad). Make sure you try the garlic shrimp! Coconuts - This calls for it's own section! Daily coconuts around 12pm-1pm around the pool area! They go fast, so get there quick! Staff - I've never been to a place with such a pleasant staff. Everyone was so attentive, happy, funny, and great people in general. Special shout out to Moises, for making me get off my lazy butt for some relaxing Aqua Yoga and Beach Volleyball. That made me feel a little better about all the rainbow shots we took! I would absolutely come back again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind. Also love that it's an adults only resort too!
From start to finish, our 5-night stay at Live Aqua was amazing. The entire staff, everywhere on the property smile and make one feel special. Our concierge, Diego, expertly informed us of all of the luxurious advantages that we could enjoy during our stay. Not only is the property stunning, but the aroma therapy throughout the resort is wonderful and soothing--not to mention the spa-jazzy music. Speaking of spas, it was way worth the foot and leg message that I got there...days later, still feeling silky and rested. The beach, bars, and all-inclusive food and drinks were better than expected. The daily breakfast buffet is amply diverse, offering great service and ambience. The nightly concerts that could be heard from room balconies were a surprise. One night the singing tenors made me cry...so great. Although all of the staff were great, Moises, on the beach, made us feel welcome to join in a volleyball game or two. We cannot wait to return to Live Aqua in Cancun!
Live Aqua is a solid choice! The beach and pools are stunningly beautiful here, as are the views from the rooms. The service is friendly and helpful. We particularly loved Ashley and Armando at the pool, as well as servers Alie, Marisol and Jorge. The first time we went we weren't in a suite, so we didn't have the perks of the cabana reservations and included foot massages! It's definitely nice to be a VIP at this hotel! Hayden in the 5th floor lounge makes great cuba libres (rum and cokes), and not having to wait downstairs in line to check in or our is a huge perk. The best part about this all-inclusive experience is that you won't get sick. There are so many all-inclusives with terrible food - but not Live Aqua. The food is surprisingly good here and we came home healthy both times. Highlights for me are the chilaquiles and salsas at breakfast, as well as the smoothies, and the chicken quesadillas and guacamole by the pool. The one terrible thing about Live Aqua is the lack of Mexican food. What they desperately need is a restaurant with Mexican grandmothers making home-cooked deliciousness. We ate at the Hidden Garden, Azur, mb - they were all fine. Nothing bad, I'm sure they are geared to American tourists' tastes, but it's such a shame to be in a culinary paradise and being served non-authentic Asian, etc. food, while the few Mexican options by the pool or at the breakfast buffet are the best things they serve at the hotel! In such a pristine hotel with so many options, one shouldn't have to cab out of the hotel to eat delicious Mexican food in Mexico. My only other suggestion to improve this beautiful resort is to not make the 12:30-1 pm fresh coconut experience so difficult. I spent a lot of time looking/waiting for coconuts every day. If I was told 12:30 I would show up and wait 15 minutes and still no coconuts. Then I was told 1 pm and nearly missed the coconuts! One day thankfully a kind manager brought us coconuts to the beach - that was wonderful - but our last day we didn't even get any coconuts because of this coconut-stand confusion. I've been to Cancun numerous times and you can't go wrong with this hotel choice. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beach/pool area are gorgeous. The water can be rough when it's windy, but the lifeguards are attentive and the water is incredibly clear. I just arrived back home yesterday, but I am already read to go back again.
My wife and i spent 7 days here on our honeymoon last month . as we arrived we had a beautiful view of the ocean and also overlooking the pools . a aromatherapy relaxing , clean room , friendly staff and the best spa experience she ever encountered. highly recommend.
