"Mr. Fendi was the extremely professional and helpful during my stat"
I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental with a friend while on a business trip in Hong Kong. I went to Macau to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The Mandarin Oriental was a gorgeous facility with beautiful rooms and spectacular and unsurpassed service. I met an employee named Mr. Fendi and he was extremely helpful on information about what to do in Macau and different features of the hotel and the city of Macau. Thank you Mr. Fendi for making my stay ever more enjoyable.
"Very pleasant stay"
Hotel location is good. Rooms are very spacious and good condition. Staffs are very kind. Swimming pool is now closed somehow. I would like to stay again if price is right. One of the top quality hotel in Macau.
I have been to Macau multiple times in the past year, and this is my first time staying at the Mandarin Oriental. This is certainly one of our best experiences at Macau, and this hotel is of the highest standard in Macau. The staff at the hotel reception, Ms Alex Colcol, is extremely helpful. We will certainly be back to this hotel again.
"Elegant hotel that is worth every dollar!"
There are so many great things about the Mandarin Oriental Macau that I'm at a lost where to start! As with all my reviews about hotels, let's begin with the service. Impeccable is how I would describe it. I was made to feel very welcomed at check-in, where everyone at the reception, if they are not attending to another guest, would smile and greet you. The check-in was smooth and fast, and Irene got me a high floor room with a view out to the bay, which I really appreciate. She then personally brought me up to my room and walked me around to show me the provisions and amenities. Fantastic service! Even the staff manning the phone lines, from front desk, to housekeeping to in-room dining etc. are very polite. They speak with clarity and are able to understand guests' requests without any communication problems (I speak English), which is often a frustrating issue even with the top hotels where they hire staff that can't speak nor understand English well. Only complain I have about service is that the hotel doesn't have anyone manning the main entrance door, which is very basic and necessary. It is not easy for hotel guests to open the door lugging their luggages / shopping bags with them. Unusual for a hotel of this calibre. As for the room, the great thing about staying at the Mandarin Oriental is the view, especially if you got a room facing the bay area like I did. Fantastic panoramic view of the bay with Macau Tower in the backdrop without any obstruction. The room itself is very spacious and new, with a very comfortable bed and huge soft pillows for a great night's sleep. The other thing I like about the room is the layout. It has a big walk-in wardrobe, bathroom, and tub by the window with the same great view out, the total of which is about half the size of the bedroom area. Great spa amenities provided, and I always appreciate when hotels provide Nespresso coffee machines in the room, along with TWG tea bags. Was a little disappointed though when I called room service and found out they don't provide Earl Grey, only a limited selection of Jasmine, Chamomile and English Breakfast. I was in Macau for work so the electrical provisions - HDMI, data point etc. - at the study table linked to the TV are thoughtful considerations. I also appreciate the fact that the hotel is located at the quieter part of Macau, so I get to have a good quiet rest after all meetings in the buzzing city area. I certainly do not mind traveling out from the hotel to my destinations as it is always just a short ride out. Lastly, the rate. Considering all the points above, the Mandarin Oriental Macau is very reasonably priced compared to many other hotels of the same quality (Please do not increase your price!). I have totally enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it. Would definitely be staying here when I visit Macau again.
It's the Mandarin Oriental in Macau, perfection is obvious. The food, the service the room were all perfect which is wonderful for someone that has to stays in hotels all the time. The location is perfect, attached to a mall and casinos. It's by the harbor and the views were very nice. The staff was, of course at the top of their game, as expected. I love staying at the MO, it always delivers on all levels.
