The Marmara Hotel Budapest is at the centre of the city, on Nagy Ignac Street and is next door to the famous Nagykörút (Grand Boulevard). From this convenient location, guests can explore all of the sights that Budapest has to offer. The Parliament Buildings, St. Stephen’s Basilica and Margaret Island are just a few of the attractions close to the hotel. Budapest also has a thriving museum collection, or one can simply take a stroll around the unique shops and boutiques, relax with a coffee in a café or snuggle up to delicious food in a cozy restaurant in the city centre.

"All beautifully close at hand"
Well we were very happy with our stay in this Hotel, spotlessly clean,a spacious room, and we did have a kettle and coffee and tea in our room.If you wanted anymore top ups then you can purchase at reception. The staff were all young, willing to please, friendly and I would recommend the receptionist Bridget also smiling Barosh, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Budapest is really lovely, bustling busy, with stunning architecture,if you do visit there, try one of the Hungarian Buffet restaurants. They are excellent value, and one is just around the corner from the Hotel, plenty of good Hungarian food, and very reasonable approximate £10,for two of us,for a buffet dinner, you can go up for more....and a pudding plus a drink to wash it down. How good is that! The trams are really great,we travelled on the metro, and the trains too found our destinations with ease.We didn't pay for our travel either all free as we are senior citizens,in the EU.Some of the Museums are free,to enter as well. The Danube cruises look lovely, and it is beautiful to just relax by the river,Would recommend this city,we were only there for 4 days, but will go back again, well worth the trip.Free safe in every room. There is also a fridge minibar, and small quantity of toiletries,A lidles and Aldi a walk away from the Hotel,is a gift,if you need more.
Arriving late at night the receptionist had a problem finding our booking so we were kept waiting about 20 minutes. The room itself was very small and dark and not as clean as we are used to. The toilet brush was disgustingly filthy and was well past it's sell by date. The breakfast was run on a shoestring. You need to be down well before 10:00 otherwise there wasn't much left. The staff in there were not very helpful. Some of the staff at reception were very helpful but many of them are not. The location of the hotel is a positive as it is central for almost everything. if we were to ever travel to Budapest again we definitely wouldn't stay in this hotel again.
we had big expectations about the room, eventually the room was too small with no view at all.the bathroom was ok in size and clean.good location near to metro station.the breakfast was pure and most of the food was too heavy for our stomach
"East Europe tour "
Marmara is good hotel with good location and friendly staff Lot of eateries around the hotel with easy connectivity to the most happening places Missed tea kettle in the morning. Room size relatively smaller than other hotels during our tour. Overall nice experience
"Comfortable, well connected"
After a tiring plane journey of about 10 hours, when we reached city of Budapest, we needed a nice bath and a rest at a nice place. Which was provided by the hotel. Though we stayed for one day it was comfortable stay. It is connected by tram city bus and train aswell.
