"Great central place and just right for our girlie weekend away"
Just a block away from 5th avenue, and a stroll away from Times Square, the Empire State Building, Central Park, and just a perfect stopover for a weekend in THe Big Apple... Our twin room was perfectly adequate, very clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast included cereals, fresh fruit salad, and a good choice of pastries, bagels and toast... having the tea/coffee trolley to help yourself from was also a bonus, although each morning we popped over the road to a coffee shop for a good fresh coffee to come round with before breakfast. The city never sleeps (apparently) but I have to say the noise never bothered us once or woke either of us up. Easy to get a cab from just outside the hotel or on the nearby streets and the staff were all very helpful with advice and suggestions...
"Nice design, minimal service"
- Very nice design by French designer Andrée Putman. Great bedding, great shower. - Good Internet connection when it works. - A/C has issues. - Free continental breakfast is a nice touch, and it's good quality. - Housekeeping and Maintenance staff are professional and attentive. Front desk staff exhibit the smugness usually associated with boutique hotels. - Was given a lesser room than the one I had booked and didn't realise it until a few days into my stay.
"Nice hotel, friendly staff and top location on Madison"
Stayed here for a long weekend and really liked the hotel. As in every city rooms were smallish but to be expected. The location is in midtown near everywhere even walking distance, particularly the first morning filled with jetlag it is always nice when you can go for a walk. The breakfast is done in the bar and as they do not have a kitchen it is cold food only, there is plenty of it so no-one leaves hungry. Our floor was near the elevator but no noise from that neither from the street as we were away from the street. What was a little odd, there are no markings at all on the building that it is a hotel.
This quaint little hotel makes you feel like you are in a snug NYC apartment. Whether you get a double room or a suite you will feel at home. Obviously the suite offers more space with a couch and an extra tv; and a jacuzzi in the bathroom but if I'm going to be honest, the smaller queen or double bed room is a perfect size for a short stay. I stayed here with my boyfriend for New Year's Eve and believe it or not it was in a very quiet area, contrary to what we thought we would experience on such a busy night. We couldn't hear the huddle and bustle that floods NYC streets on this holiday. We were far enough from Times Square to escape the noise by close enough to walk there if we were interested in checking out the scene. Another huge plus, close to Bryant park and a lot of nice restaurants!! It was a blast, and felt like our cozy own NYC apartment! Thank you for the incredible accommodation and lovely service! We always come back when we are in the city and we never seize to be impressed by everything from the parking services to the complimentary free breakfast!!
We had a very good stay at Morgans Hotel,it was almost perfect to reach all the places we like to see.You could walk to all the shoppingplaces in the central of New York and it was not so far away from Central Park and Times Square.
