Stayed here on the 12th for my birthday. I have stayed in this hotel a few times and loved it. Lots of space, brightly coloured and modern. This is why I decided to stay here for my birthday. Unfortunately, this time was different. Our room was tiny and it looked really old with lots of cracks/chips in the desk etc. Also the view was of a white wall very close to the window. It’s a shame because I would have always picked this hotel to come back to on occasions and will probably look elsewhere now. On the other hand staff were great and we got £10 minibar voucher which was a nice little touch.
"Waste of Money!!!"
When looking at this hotel on booking.com the pictures advertised a bath in every room and this was the main reason for booking this hotel so I was extremely disappointed to find we had no bath! are room was so basic we decided to upgrade for our second night paying 100 pound extra and finding the room was exactly the same, still with no bath, the receptionist boasted that the room had great views when in reality the view was of another building!! The room itself wasn't clean and I was very unhappy with its basic appearance. ALSO do not pay the extra 12 pound for breakfast I have never seen less options I basically paid 12 pound for a bit of toast as that was about the best option! do not stay here whatever you do!
"As people say...quirky but we loved it"
Décor and design is very unusual. Brightly coloured and bathroom open to room. However we loved it. Price was good for a city, location was superb - right in the centre of town, the bed was very comfortable, shower excellent; and the whole room was very clean. Yes there were signs of wear but nothing we would complain about. Probably best not use the mini bar - the prices were somewhat high.
We stayed here one night to see a gig at the Brighton Dome. Great location, quirky decor which you either love or hate (you know what you’re booking so we loved it). Only moans would be the room temperature was far too low and was uncontrollable within the room at night (went to centrally controlled) so both of us were very cold. Breakfast was a bit disappointing and when we asked for decaf coffee, we were grumpily told we should buy it from the small batch cafe next door! Reception put this right however and gave us what we asked for. A well located and decent hotel although we wouldn’t rush back to stay again.
"Location, location, location"
This hotel is in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from the Royal Pavilion, Brighton Dome and North Laine. Spotless rooms, quirky bar and very pleasant staff. We booked it as we were going to an event at the Dome and it couldn't have been better.
