I've stayed in this hotel a few times now and it's my first choice having stayed in some of the big name seafront hotels. It's centrally located, very close to the Pavillions, The Lanes and their surrounding pubs and restaurants. I normally come by train and the hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the station. The rooms are very flamboyant and funkily designed....very "Brighton". There's a cocktail bar on the ground floor and the hotel is right next door to the amazing Chilli Pickle restaurant. It can be a little noisy if you have a room on the 1st floor or one on any floor facing onto the street with all if the nightlife. Breakfast is continental style, served in the cocktail bar. This hotel makes me smile!
"2nd Visit. Favorite place to stay in Brighton "
This was our 2nd time to stay at this Hotel. It's a Five Minute walk from The Station and about 10 minutes to the Beach. Numerous Bars and Restaurants within close proximity to The Hotel. Check in was quick and easy. We booked a superior room which was spotless clean. Love the decor and how quirky it is. We had Breakfast the Following morning which to be honest wasn't anything special. Wouldn't rate the Hotel any less because of The Breakfast just made us realise we would just book Room only next time and eat Breakfast somewhere else if we return. Would highly recommend this Hotel, if you want something a bit more Modern, Quirky and Stylish and we found it often comes in cheaper than some of the other Hotels likes Jury's, Holiday Inns etc.
"Loved the quirky modern style"
This hotel is in a great location being in the centre of Brighton and close to everything, especially the variety of unusual shops and restuarants in The Lanes and so close to the Pavillion and Dome. The hotel layout and design are really striking and for me one of the things that made the hotel stand out in the right way. My room did look across to a blank wall which made it a little claustrophobic but the room itself was spacious and very clean. I note the comments of others about the toilet and shower doors being pretty transparent, but mine was a solo stay. I liked the fact that a lot of thought and effort had gone in to making this hotel different from the chains and the few staff that I spoke to were pleasant and helpful. If/when I next return to Brighton I will probably look to My Brighton as a first choice.
"My hotel "
1st class all the way ... lovely rooms clean and quirky with ice cold air conditioning ... fantastic bar and location a hidden gem if you ask me The staff friendly and attentive to your every need my only moan is that I never wanted to leave ... will be back that's for sure come on people give it a whirl on my recommendation
"Could do with a refurb"
Booked into here because I couldn't get into my usual hotel. It's very central for pub theatre etc. Room was a bit tatty, struggled to get the roller blind lowered, dressing table (which is a sort of Formica shelf) was chipped and marked and the pink rubber (no I'm not making this up) floor tiles were stained and marked. This hotel is designed for the hostel generation but not at hostel prices. The place gives the impression that it is trying too hard to be different. I would only stay here again if nothing else was available.
