Staff were so friendly and kind. Perfect place for a honeymoon. No complaints. Great food and beverages available. Rooms cleaned twice a day which was such a great addition. Would totally recommend this to any couple wanting to experience luxury. Modern. 100% satisfied!
Love how private the property is - there are only 4 villas, so expect maximum privacy and exclusivity in this villa. Each villa also occupies a large area. We were thrilled when we first saw it. Love the outdoor bathroom as well - there is an option of a rain shower or a bathtub. Pandawas also provides drop off and pick up to Ubud centre - so that's a bonus! All in all, loving the tropical theme of Pandawas Villas. We are mighty glad to have discovered this little hideout! :) Full review on BelAroundTheWorld[.]com.
"Lovely Place, beautiful arranged resort, spacious rooms."
First of all, thank you dear Pandawas team, you made ours six days in Ubud just perfect. We really enjoyed every minute at the Pandawas Villas. Due to a delay of our transport we arrived late at night at the resort, but wehe staff waited and gave us a very warm welcome. Even the Barwas closed, they served us a couple of cold drinks and made the arrival very comfortable. The staff was all the time very thoughtful and attentive, so revelry question was answered and any help was given, transport to Ubud, renting a bike, hints what to do. So if you want to escape the hustle of Ubud, which can be very crowded and stressful sometimes, the Villas are the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Ubud area and relax in this beautiful resort. The Villas are extremely spacious, the bed is very comfortable, the technical equipment is REALLY good, so you have a decent mataranz Amp with surround you, an iPod doc (only 30 pin adapter, but works fine), a 3,5mm audio jack, to connect your device, many power jacks, good wifi (enough for streaming netflix) and in the lounge, there is a PS3... if you really don't know what to do ;-) but the best thing is, there are only 4 Villas, so it will never get crowded (if you like that). The whole are of Pandawas is beautiful arranged, many ponds, gardens, flowers... is all very nice. The pool has a really good size, so it stretches about 20 meters or even more, so serious swimming is possible. So all in all, great accommodation, super friendly staff, perfect situated, and just beautiful ;-) One hint... if you are into breakfast,: they don't have a buffet, you can choose between, continental, American and pancakes. If it's not included in in your rate, they charge 140.000 IDR
"Relaxing stay with friendly staff."
We had a wonderful stay here. The grounds were well kept and the staff were very helpful. Its located outside of Ubud so it's quiet but not too far to enjoy a dinner or activity. Very relaxing place, its a must stay if you want to get away from it all. Only four rooms so the place really felt like a home away from home.
"Wonderful staff and amazing room but needs some maintenance"
We staying at Pandawa villas with our toddler and baby for 4 nights. Pros: The villas are spacious and beautifully designed, really very lovely. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. The location is around 10-15mins from Ubud and they offer free pick-up and drop off which was great. The staff at the villas were amazing. There were very helpful and did their very best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We also took advantage of the massage service that was offered and it was very good and well priced. Cons: The outdoor bath has been converted into a shower, so whilst there are pictures on their website and marketing to relax in this beautiful outdoor bath, this is no longer the case and that was pretty misleading. I had actually chosen this villa over a few others I was looking at because of the large outdoor bath. As I have a toddler and baby I thought that a lovely outdoor bath like would be sort of like having our own private plunge pool, but without the drowning risk for the toddler, so I was quite disappointed to find no bath. The water pressure was also terrible. They have these beautiful large rain shower heads both in the outdoor shower and over what was the outdoor bath, however the pressure is so terrible that when turned on full a trickle just dribbles out of the middle of the showerhead and can't even fill 85% of holes to form raindrops. It was similarly bad in the handheld showerhead. I expect this may have something to do with why there is no longer the ability to fill the bath as it would probably take 2 days to fill it! I did get someone to come to the room and check the pressure and complained about it however there was not much he could do and said it was how it was. The staff were very thoughtful however and did bring me a baby bath to wash my baby in given there was no useable bath in the room. There is quite a bit of maintenance work needed, mostly lots of little things. The toilet, for example, was not cemented properly to the floor, so everytime you sat on it or got up it would wobble, pool tiles coming loose, and several little annoying things like that. On the last day my husband walked onto the deck outside our room and near put his foot right through it as the wooden decking had rotted through. Our side of the pool was much better than the other side however which was really terrible and scary to walk to for fear of falling through and I kept my toddler well away from that side. The rest of the grounds (away from the villas and reception) also needs maintenance. Food ordered to the room comes from off-site and ours arrived cold and didn't look so fresh so I wouldn't recommend that. Breakfast wasn't particularly great either however it was fresh. I also tried to order several drinks off there drinks menu however many of the items were not available which was annoying (if not available don't put it on the menu). There were no tea or coffee provisions in the room which was annoying and I really didn't want to call up to both someone late at night to get one nor wait to have it made (and pay for it). Overall this villa has so much potential. The rooms are fantastic and the overall setup and design of the villas/ reception/ pool areas has been very nicely done. The staff are also already fantastic and I couldn't rate them highly enough. If management sharpened up their game they could easily make this a true 5 star villa. It's the little things like tea/ coffee, having enough towels (not having to ask for enough towels), plus pool towels, and taking care of all the little maintenance things for example which makes all the difference. The water pressure also must be fixed and marketing material changed to make it clear there is no bath. In its current state I'd rate it fairly at about 3.5 stars. We did have an enjoyable stay overall (but just not quite the 5 star level we were used to and expected).
