Located in the Sants-Montjuic district, between Calle Consell de Cent and Calle Béjar, the hotel is a few metres away from the underground station of Plaza España, in the oldest and most outstanding Fairs area of Barcelona. It is also one of the areas with the longest shopping tradition in the city, down the buzzing main street of calle Creu Coberta (the old “Carretera de Sants”).
Very well communicated with all city motorways, the hotel is just a few steps away from the main train and coach station of Barcelona-Sants.
"Excellent place and lovely attention"
Excellent hotel near plaza España. Is not a big but the rooms are clean and modern. Hotel breakfast is nice and good and the attention all the staff is excellent , the only thing is that the elevators are too slow
We stayed here after two nights at the Hotel Indigo for 1 night before heading to AS Palau Dels Alemanys in Girona (our Monarch flight was cancelled so we had to return a day later and from Girona as flights were all booked) as we were going to watch Barca B in the evening and the hotel is relatively close to Sants station and The Magic Fountain. We have stayed at The Chelsea Pestana and I was looking forward to a similar experience. What a difference in customer service between these hotels!! Checkin is from 2pm. We arrived at 3pm and were told that our room was not ready, but would be approx 5-10 minutes. Not a problem, we did have a welcome drink included in our price so I suggested a drink at the bar whilst we waited. Not here! The bar doesnt open until 5pm at the weekends. We sat inside and waited and waited and waited. We asked a couple of times, but the previous receptionist had left and the young gentleman just said he would let us know when the room was ready. 55 minutes later we asked again, to be told the room needed a light bulb. As we needed to get ready to go out we asked if we could have access to the room whilst they fitted the lightbulb - there is a joke there somewhere!! So at last we went to our room. 2 hours after the advertised checkin and almost 1 hour after arrival - simply because of a lightbulb. Which must have been changed before we enterred the room as we couldnt see one that needed changing. The room itself is good. A nice comfy bed and plenty of Pestana toiletries, but no showergel' I had paid for an upgrade to the junior suite as it had a the hot tub. We didnt really have time to appreciate this as we had now only had 45 minutes to freshen up and get ready for the match. However, we did on our return and when I switched on the jacuzzi loads of black bits came out of the jets all around me - not pleasant! Our room was by the lift. On our way our for a stroll in the morning we saw that someone had thrown up by the lift door. I told the receptionist (the unhelpful lady from our checkin) and she said she would get someone to clean this up. It was still there on our return. I know the hotel cant be blamed if a customer is sick, but they should clean it up once reported to them. Made me wonder how clean the rest of the hotel was - the hot tub wasnt and they obviously werent bothered about the sick We werent asked about how our stay had been on checkout - again the not so customer friendly lady. I have never come across hotel staff that really didnt care and I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. I wish we had saved our money and stayed at another hotel, it cost 195 euros to stay here. and that was the non refundable cheaper price. I could have stayed in a better hotel for half the price!
"Perfect to restore energy levels in between intense working days"
We booked this hotel as a group during our stay for the IoT Solutions World Congress; it is located very close to Placa d'Espanya, so very convenient for evening walks in the city center and for reaching any other place by public means of transport; the breakfast menu included a wide variety of fresh food, salted and sweet bakery stuff, and the service was impeccable. The rooms are remarkable: spacious, nicely furnished, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is really well designed: you don't feel like you are squeezed in there but can actually move freely and have enough room for all your items and devices. The Internet connection was also impeccable and it's possible to connect up to 5 units for each room.
"Always good to get an upgrade!"
We were only staying one night before a flight out of the country, but were very pleaesd to be given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite complete with outdoor jacuzzi! Shame we couldn't stay longer! The room was a little bit tired, in need of a few repairs here and there, but was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and informative about places to eat, and how to find the bus transport to the airport the next morning, which is within easy walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
"Brilliant hotel in a great location"
Stayed in this hotel with my husband during a birthday getaway. Hotel was modern and rooms clean and spacious. Free wifi was included in rooms. Some toiletries provided. Noted that there is no iron or ironing board available and advised to used laundry services if this is required. Was given a fruit cocktail, chocolates and invited to the bar for 2 free glasses of cava on my birthday, such a lovely gesture. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel located near espanya metro station, so all major attractions just a short metro ride away. Would definitely stay here again!
