Located in the Sants-Montjuic district, between Calle Consell de Cent and Calle Béjar, the hotel is a few metres away from the underground station of Plaza España, in the oldest and most outstanding Fairs area of Barcelona. It is also one of the areas with the longest shopping tradition in the city, down the buzzing main street of calle Creu Coberta (the old “Carretera de Sants”).
Very well communicated with all city motorways, the hotel is just a few steps away from the main train and coach station of Barcelona-Sants.
"Modern Hotel in a good location"
I was looking for a hotel close to the Plaza Espanya, and Pestana did not dissapoint. We were a group of 8 and our rooms were very clean, modern, with minibar, safe deposit box, comfy beds and pillows. The front desk attendants were very nice and professional, with suggestions and tips. The breakfast buffet is very good and complete with juices, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, breads, eggs etc., plus we had dinner one night at the restaurant and it was very good too. The location is 2 blocks to Plaza Espanya, Arenas shopping center, metro and train station. We liked the hotel so much, that I'll be looking to book Pestana in our next trip to Barcelona o any other city they have a hotel.
""Nice Quiet and clean""
Hi Friends... I stayed at the Pestana Arena Barcelona it was a nice hotel with a nice lobby to relax and have a delicious cup of coffee or cappuccino... Our room was spacious and clean with a large glass window that opened (no screens) The bathrooms were very nice modern and clean as well... Breakfast was a Buffet it had a lot of things Eggs, bacon cereals, cheeses, ham, pastries etc. and delicious hot chocolate it was like you were drinking melted chocolate... Yummy :-) it was close to the bus stop, train, restaurants and had shops near by... I hope you have a great stay :-)
"Just what we wanted "
The hotel was so much better than we expected. We left booking our hotel for Barcelona quite late so everything was quite pricey. We booked this hotel due to the location and price and were pleasantly surpised when we arrived. We could not fault the cleanliness, everything was tidy, clean and we did not notice any issues during our 3 night stay. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Espana underground station, which links directly to the city centre, 4 stops away from Placa Catalunya. This was perfect for us and Barcelona pubic transport is so cheap. Buy a T10 ticket for under 10 EURO which has 10 trips that can be used by multiple people. The only downfall of this hotel is there is not many nice restaurants around the area, but this didn't affect us too much as it is so close to the city centre. The staff were friendly, but could have been more welcoming on check in. Overall we were very happy with our stay, the room was clean and very large, and it was the perfect location for us. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
I have recently returned from a family holiday in Barcelona. Having stayed at the Barcelona arena hotel I can only say good things about this hotel and it's staff. Their staff were brilliant, they went above and beyond on a almost daily basis. We went for my mums 60th birthday and on that day my mum got a cake, card, chocolates and a nice bottle. All of those we didn't expect or ask for. Reception staff guided us to restaurants and explained how to get to places like the gaudi and nou camp. Rooms were always clean and the breakfasts were excellent with a lot of choice. Brilliantly positioned with access to everything very easily. Made an excellent holiday even better. Would recommend to anyone.
"Great break away in Barcelona "
Nice clean hotel. Staff very friendly. Central to places and so close to the water foundations. Worth a look. I celebrated my birthday out here and the staff gave myself and boyfriend a glass of processo and some fruit cocktail to enjoy. We used the steam and sauna which was nice and relaxing to do. I do feel there was some language barrier with some of the staff however we got there in the end when asking for some things. Very helpful and nice people. We decided to go on the bus tour of Barcelona and stopped at the football stadium great day out and highly recommend to do this. We also went on the cable cars which was good fun even though I ain't good with heights. There is a few different cafes near by and also a nice shopping centre wi a variety of restaurants there we were there most nights. We sat at the clock terrace most nights beautiful views there and you can watch the water foundations there. Make sure you check it's on cause 2night of our 4night break it wasn't. This is inside a hotel on the 8th floor. Easy to get around Barcelona. Some good cheap finds for some food and drink. Breakfast at the hotel was a good choice however first day the warm food wasn't warm at all which put us off however we did us this facility again before we came home and the hot food was hot. Your holiday is what you make it and nice to explore and see Barcelona. I found it central and didn't use the metro but very close to them. Happy to be close by and wonder around locally. Thanks very much for a good trip.
