Located in the Sants-Montjuic district, between Calle Consell de Cent and Calle Béjar, the hotel is a few metres away from the underground station of Plaza España, in the oldest and most outstanding Fairs area of Barcelona. It is also one of the areas with the longest shopping tradition in the city, down the buzzing main street of calle Creu Coberta (the old “Carretera de Sants”).
Very well communicated with all city motorways, the hotel is just a few steps away from the main train and coach station of Barcelona-Sants.
"Comfortable stay in Barcelona's Financial District"
Location: This isn't in the heart of Barcelona, but what a treat to stay across from the Joan Miro park, lined with palm trees and Miro statues. Please go here to sit and people-watch in the mornings — it's great. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk to Place Espanya, a mall where you can also catch the easy-to-navigate city metro system underground. Plus, only a 10-minute walk to the bigger Barcelona Sants hub, where you can find trains out to neighboring cities. The Industrial Park adjacent to Barcelona Sants is worthwhile if you have time to explore. General: Nice hotel on the smaller side. I was here for about four days and had a very comfortable stay. The staff was friendly, but stays out of your way for the most part. Room: Although a little dark, the rooms were standard sized and kept clean.* Other thoughts: The streets directly outside of the hotel has a few small grocery stores if you're looking for water and snacks. No notable restaurants, but if you go out to the main streets a block or two away, there are some quick sandwich shops. *Stayed January 2015
"Splurge on the superior room"
We booked 2 rooms, one standard and one king superior. For the price difference, the superior room was a great deal. The location is good for siteseeing, the rooms are clean and quiet. The room we had included a little balcony that we enjoyed (superior room). My complaint is that the breakfast was mediocre, and the coffee was bad. Not normal for Barcelona. We tried a tapas at the hotel bar, and it too was just bad. The hotel is newer so their food service is perhaps not fine tuned yet. Other than food, this was a good place to stay away from La Ramblas, but close enough to enjoy the center.
"Very good location"
booked this hotel for my husband and I and a couple of freinds we found the hotel very clean and the staff very helpful and in a great location there are lots of eating places and bars in the area the underground metro is close by and you can buy a H10 ticket is very good value
"Very good value and excellent staff."
The hotel is in a great location. Easy access from the airport (with a little walking). The staff at the front desk are friendly and do an excellent job. The lobby is nice. The rooms were modern and relatively clean. Our room needed some minor renovations to keep it in good working order. The caulking around the tub in Room 302 needs to be re-done. The tub and the tile need a power wash to remove the grime. If they did that, the room would have been very, very good. The breakfast was very good (eggs, fruit, cereal, bread, cakes, fresh orange juice, great coffee (gluten free bread was heated and crispy and had an excellent texture) and the staff at breakfast were fantastic. I was happy the rooms did not have carpeting, but the laminate flooring they used is not of good quality and was coming apart in several places. If they put down real wood or a better laminate product that lasts longer, the hotel would have been even better. The first night we were there we were facing the street where the Urban Espresso is located. This is a small bar, but on Tuesday night...it was very loud until very, very late. On Wednesday night, it was quiet because it was a little chilly out and they took the tables & chairs in. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
"Great Hotel in the Perfect Location"
My boyfriend and I have just returned from 4 days in Barcelona, we booked our trip through Voyage Prive (whom i'd also highly recommend). We've been to Barcelona before so we knew roughly the area that the hotel was in and were happy that this would suit our needs. We hopped on the Aerobus outside the airport terminal and got off at the first stop (Placa d' Espanya) from there the hotel is a very short walk (3 mins). The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival and even allowed us to check in early as the room was already available. We had bed and breakfast, having stayed in a number of hotels in city centres this one was by far the best breakfast available, whatever your taste you'll find something that you like. The staff we always helpful, they printed out a number of things for us, tickets and boarding passes etc. It's a great hotel in a great location within walking distance of the Magic Fountains and the Arenas, as well as the Espanya Metro stop. I couldn't recommend it more and will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Barcelona.
