"Good enough hotel"
Nice hotel that basically offers what you expect. Wifi has good speed and breakfast is excellent. Room standard is ok but has not been renovated for a while. It is a bit worn out, but ok. Location is great.
"Comfort in a great location "
I spent a week at the Pestana for a business trip. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, but look a little tired and are in need of an update. The hotel is located centrally in downtown Buenos Aires which is convenient as you will be within walking distance of a subway station, various restaurants, and one of the main shopping streets (Florida). Breakfast options could be improved - it became monotonous after a few days
"Good hotel in good location"
Stayed here twice for 2 nights entering and leaving the country It's a good location and a good hotel, slightly tired so needs better maintenance , however all the staff very friendly Cristian Bolzico on reception especially good and very helpful Rooms are spacious and comfortable , bathrooms need some TLC and traffic noise quite loud Gym needs money spent on it as does the spa and changing rooms , however for the money and location would definitely stay here again
"Very central location "
A nice hotel in a very central location. Good breakfast buffet and very pleasant staff. Rooms were very spacious but, as another reviewer said, could do with some refurbishment. Overall though, we were happy with our stay here.
"Convenient location, excellent breakfast"
I hadn't visited Buenos Aires before, and it is pleasant with an air of slightly faded gentility - buildings need a bit of paint, there's evidence of economic troubles with homeless people sleeping in parks, but the city has a Latin feel, lots of people eating out and socializing even late in the evening, lots of nice restaurants and bars. The Pestana has a similar feel: a very pleasant and comfortable hotel, although not updated in quite the way North American hotels would be. The breakfast buffet has a huge variety and is included. Staff are friendly and helpful. I ate dinner in the hotel once and it was fairly unmemorable - I would recommend eating out in the many restaurants nearby (very short walk). My other advice - if you have allergies to perfume, avoid using the air conditioning. In various hotels in Buenos Aires they use an air freshener or something in the air conditioning, and I could feel it irritating my throat (and a colleague had the same experience). In the spring when I was there I could simply avoid using the air conditioning - but this would be an issue in Dec/Jan when I understand it can be very hot and humid.
