I spend in this hotel one night. I book Superior DBL room. Everything was perfect. Nice room with modern furniture, perfect bed and great interior. On the 29 floor you may find perfect restaurant with nice meals and great wine choice. Hope that sometimes i return to this Hotel. p.s. I forget. It's best breakfast that i saw during last year. "Nice Building - Extremely Inconsistent Service"
So the building is nice so is breakfast. But staying here is like stumbling around in a dark kitchen - you never know what your hands will touch. First night, we didn't get a turn-down service before bed and had a mismatching set of toiletries - one the branded Penhaligon's set (as promised), the other some unbranded stuff... Second night we got a turn-down service, but our toiletries were not replenished... Third day (i.e. now) got our toiletries replenished, but with the unbranded stuff. I did choose this hotel specifically because I have super dry skin and it's difficult to carry my huge tub of body moisturiser in a suitcase.... Last, we actually requested a higher-floor room but got on on the 5th floor (4th by European standards, since Russian buildings don't have a Ground Floor)
"Terrible experience - families not welcome"
Despite checking in advance and booking a expensive executive suite this was a highly disappointing experience, so bad that we left hotel in middle of the night. - children not welcome in pool or anywhere else in the hotel. - executive lounge not up2 similar hotels (Ritz, Lotte, Hilton etc). I will never come back
"Nice luxurious hotel"
Our river cruise group stayed in this hotel as part of the itinerary. The hotel structure is big, the smallest of the 7 sisters. Reception staff helpful. Hotel lobby not so grand as other 5 star hotel. Breakfast sumptuous and room stay comfortable. Easy access to the boat ride near the hotel on cruise by night. The city model on ground floor is interesting and helpful to visitors. Worth to stay here again.
"It has a luxurious and nostalgic atmosphere and is very comfortable"
This hotel is very easy to get to - just follow their instructions. Their instructions of how to get there though could be a bit more detailed - basically, make sure that your luggage is light or else has wheels if you walk from the Metro as it will take a hard 10 minutes. Details of how to get there from the Metro is under my tips/advice. The hotel is very large and glitzy, it is frequented by mainly local Russians and has a great luxurious and nostalgic atmosphere. The rooms are really comfortable and the river view is great, but be prepared to see a lot of traffic also. The rooms have just about everything from shaving kits, toothpaste/brushes and a good mini-bar. If you need an iron though you may have to request it. The beds are very comfortable and the aircon is silent and effective. The baths are also a good size and very comfortable. The rooms are very quiet as are the corridors. The staff are very helpful. The piece de resistance however is the breakfast - there is a huge choice of foods available for breakfast; as I went through the week I tended to rely on breakfast as being my main food of the day and tended to have a leisurely 3 course breakfast. They have food to suit all tastes and palates. Warning though, it is quite expensive, so try and get it included for free. The room service menu is quite varied, but also a bit hit and miss - decent enough steaks etc, but their Caesar Salds use a rubbery tasteless cheese instead of Parmesan. Their seafood is also very good. Don't be afraid to walk along the road/Prospect, it looks a bit run down, but it is the equivalent area to Park Lane or Central Park - there are many quality branded stoes and also a Lamboghini garage! The best thing there though is the Azbuka Vkuza supermarket which is a 7 minute walk on th esame side as the hotel - great for snacks as the jars of nuts in the room are £14/USD$18 a jar!! There are also a few coffee shops/restaurants.
"The reception' service very POOR"
Frustrated by the hotel' service, breakfast food is not good. The reception was very poor, they could not make registration form for us - foreigner guest, who stay 5 days at the Hotel. The hotel does not match the 4 or 5 star standard. I think it maybe 3 star possibly. Generally will not go back.
