Great hotel, would stay again next time I visit Amsterdam. Only the menu for lunch and dinner was small.Comment of K. Sylvia , Belgium the 2016-07-18
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. It was our first time in Amsterdam. The hotel itself is situated in west Amsterdam a 20 minute tram ride from the city centre. The tram stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel and the service runs very frequently. We were on the 13th floor and the view of the city was spectacular. The room was very nice, although the design of the shower screen allows water to pool on the bathroom floor. The reception staff were very friendly and knowledgable of the Amsterdam area. The hotel operates a free shuttle bus from Schipol airport, which is around 20 minutes away. The shuttle bus back to the airport costs €7:50. We didnt eat at the hotel, however we did visit the bar on floor 17, which again gives incredible views of the city. Slight down side is the overpriced drinks, cocktails are around €13 each. Overall this was a really great hotel and a good base for a visit to this amazing city.
We have just spent the weekend in this hotel and were a bit disappointed. We booked a double room and the room had 2 singles beds and a camp bed all pushed together. The mattresses on the bed were so light that they would slide of the bed and leave a big gap where the beds had been pushed together. The extra bed made the room cramped and it was difficult to climb over to get to the loo in the middle of the night!!! The milk we used for tea and coffee the first morning was not replenished! The hotel had a lovely roof top bar and handy for the tram. We are not people who tend to moan but we were disappointed in this hotel room and the housekeeping.
The wife and I stayed here for a weekend away. The location is brilliant being right next to a tram stop that takes you directly to the city centre.. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed had a memory foam mattress cover which was fine for me but the wife struggled to get comfortable. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice. They offer a secure luggage room but unfortunately many of the security lockers were broken. I also felt there wasn’t enough people working in reception to deal with the guests quickly. It really wouldn’t take a lot for the Ramada Apollo to gain an extra star from me.
"A+ class customer service"
First of all, wanted to say a really big thanks to Milad who made us feel welcome while we stayed at the Ramada Apollo Amsterdam. 100% will be looking to staying in the near future. It's convenient from the airport and also city with easy cab service (or uber), breakfast was really good with nice view.
"Brilliant hotel about 20 mins outside cente"
Fantastic hotel situated about 20 mins on the tram outside Amsterdam Central. A number 13 takes you to and from Centraal Station. Stayed in an executive room with the biggest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel in Europe. Great size of room with six large ceiling to floor windows with a panoramic view of the city and Remrandt park. Large comfortable bed and seating area. Breakfast offered a great choice of dishes to suit the wide variety of clientele. Shuttle bus to and from the airport was a bonus. Very friendly staff.
