"Stay away if you want internet in your room"
This hotel might be fine for a leisure traveler but not for business. I always work after my business meetings and expect there to be internet in my room. After arriving on the red eye with tons of work deadlines, I was expecting a whole day of work. There was no signal. I take my computer to the lobby and they give me their 'stronger' wifi which I successfully logged onto in the lobby. But as I walk toward my room it drops the signal. I had to work the whole day in the lobby with a coat on. Second complaint - poor climate control. My room was freezing. I called for help. They came to my room and did something with the remote to turn on the heat. I go out for a walk and return to a sauna. I call again for help. The staff then comes and turns it off. So I learn, the way you regulate your heat is that it is OFF or ON!!! I had to repress myself from screaming at the staff person when I said it is entirely unacceptable for a hotel room climate control to have two choices, OFF or ON, hot or cold. She said that she was sorry, that was all they had. On the positive, the decor was tasteful. The room was large. The room was very clean. I ate at the restaurant because this place literally is in the middle of nowhere and the food at the restaurant was delicious.
"A nice hotel with nice staff"
The facilities in the room where I stayed (412) were good. All new looking, well looked after and clean. The whole hotel was actually super clean. The bathrooms just perfect (with a great echo for those who also enjoy singing their lungs out onto the shower head :P ). this room was extremely spacious (would easily fit a small sized yoga class). The only thing I missed was the kettle in the room. I encountered problems with the internet connection in my room but the staff was helpful and did what they could to sort it out for me. So a big thumbs up :) you have a coffee vending machine downstairs by the reception, quite a few choices for one euro. There is however nothing vegan (not even vegan snacks from the other vending machine. i bought a pack of salty / peppered crisps and they turned out to contain milk :D ). we also had to take taxi from the town centre which took approx 30 mins ...there are however public busses near by. just ask at the reception.
We have been to this Hotel many times and this year the standards have dropped. I do not know if you have a new manager/ Managers but the service we received was Terrible. No room service no kitchen open after about 9pm so peanuts at the bar it had to be. We paid up front to come to Brussels and could not put drinks on a card or book anything to your room. The (mis out of date) information guest service book says currency exchange is available at a higher rate. I went to reception to ask and the reception was so rude (yola and Hanane) They made out I could not read !!!the answer was go to the Cora supermarket or find a bank (customer service 0/10) I am sorry why do you have a guest service book if it is out of date. There is no excuse for wrong information in a guests room.(throw the books away or update )
"Surly staff and non existent service"
Don't stay in this hotel. The room guide says they provide room service, but they don't. After 3 hours of karate training we expected the bar to still serve food, but no. So we phoned room service (as reception advised) and were told it was drinks only. Reception staff could only blow their cheeks out and shrug. They offered no help. 50 karateka sharing a few packets of crisps! Manager was none existent and invisible. Room safe didn't work, after repeated requests. TV needs an enigma code to get it to work. Nothing around here, the hotel is handy for nothing at all- forget it!
"Good Stop Over"
I stayed in this hotel while I was on my way out to other countries for a business trip in May. The location of this hotel makes it ideal for an overnight stop as it is so close to the motorway network. It is not so close to the city centre though. The staff at this hotel were friendly and did everything that they could have done to make the stay as easy and comfortable as possible but there didn't seem to be a lot of staff there. The ones that were there seemed to be overworked. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained. I did have a great nights sleep at this hotel and the hotel is quiet to say it is so close to the main roads. I only had breakfast in this hotel as it was used for an overnight stop but the breakfast was tasty and was a self service buffet so couldn't go wrong.
