Good and quiet location, nice, clean and comfortable room. It's short walking distance from the train station. Service desk personnel are not very friendly and very good ignoring customer. There are lots of coffee shops around. Lots of bakery stores in and out of the train station. Not very German area!
"Good location and great breakfast "
Book this hotel for location. Perfect to get everywhere and walking distance to most beer houses. Breakfast buffet is really good. Room very comfortable. No problems with staff etc. This my review for 3 nights, which have all been great. No noise on the 5th floor.
"Nice hotel, extremely rude personell. "
This quite new hotel is situated not far away from Hauptbanhof and is really clean and nice. So what can go wrong' The personell. I tried to stay an hour longer than official check out time. That was a really big misstake! From that on I was treated as a big enemy of the hospital! They told me I would have to pay a 100 Euro fee. And a lot of other things! I have been travelling for business purposes since 1995 and have never been treated as rude as this. So, try to avoid this hotel if possible. By staying in this hotel you accept bad behavior from hotel crews!
"Modern, clean, and well decorated."
I was really impressed with all aspects of my stay at the Relaxa. As a frequent visitor to Munich and as a big fan of staying in the center near the main train station, I can say this hotel didn't disappoint. For starts the hotel is modern and nicely appointed both in the lobby and the rooms. To me it's the smaller items like the cleanliness and upkeep of hallways and elevators. The relaxa was immaculate. Even though I checked in early and my room wasn't ready, upon return later on the evening my bag had been brought to my room. That gesture or action was thoughtful. My room on the third floor featured great (free) wifi, a safe ( I love that), a rainforest shower head, and windows that blocked out the street noise below. The fit and decor of the room was chic and comfortable. Even though Munich is certainly a city where even a rainy and damp day doesn't mean one is confined to the hotel, the room was cozy and would have been a relaxing place to curl up with a book. The city center near the main train station is in my opinion the premier locale in Munich for simple logistical convenience. That said, the Relaxa is about a five minute walk from the south exit of thd main train station. There are a plethora of eateries nearby. I recommend a quick walk under the train tracks on the underpass to the iconic Augustinerkeller. All in all the high quality level of this hotel, associated with great pricing, and it's central location make the Relaxa a winner in my book.
"Room service knocking your door every morning"
Staying in this hotel was such a big disappointment. The room was lovely but there was no 'do not disturb sign' so every morning the room service woke us up. The neighborhood was quiet scary, with bunch of people on every single corner - not romantic as we hoped. Was just a bad choice to stay here. The receptionist and staff were so unfriendly and rude that we are even thinking to never come back to Munich again!
