"Nice room, convenient location, good conference facilities"
I was staying at the hotel for a conference. I will say that the hotel did a very nice job catering to the conference goers...we had nice conference rooms, good food, friendly servers and helpers. It's a very big hotel, though the main lobby area is very small. My bed was comfortable and the room was updated, but the paint was peeling in spots in the bathroom (shower area), that made it a little less appealing. The Inner Harbor area is very touristy and busy, which can be a very good thing, and this hotel is right across the street from all the action. For personal travel, I prefer staying just a bit away from the main drag here.
It's hard to beat this location, right across the street from the harbor, many good restaurants and a ten-minute walk to Camden Yards. I believe the hotel was renovated recently and it shows. Nice lobby, though the area to pull your car into and check in was pretty tight, Rooms were large and we had a great view of the harbor. Breakfast buffet was a little pricey but the food was good and there were several hot choices. If we came to the Harbor again we would definitely stay here.
"Hotel needs a refresh"
Was disappointed with quality of the hotel room. Bathroom was dated and definitely worn. Did mobile check in and took longer to receive keys than co-worker who stood in line. Hotel staff was nice and the concierge lounge was nice.
"Gary the concierge is Awesome!!"
Asked Gary for recommendations for great hotels and he will give them to you. Great friendly man. He even arranged for a free car ride to and from the restaurants. All the restaurants he recommended were amazing. Pros: Location, close to several restaurants in walking distance. Right across the street from the Inner Harbor. Walk around the harbor past the volleyball courts to federal hill in the evening for an amazing view of the nights Baltimore skyline. Cons: Some sketchy areas around hotel. Must be safe and know what street you are going to and make sure it's safe. Lots of homeless people will approach you for money. Some dangerous areas around fells point. Rooms were basic but comfortable. Nice that it has a fridge in room. 5th floor bar has boardgames and nice views.
This hotel and all the amenities are well worth the money spent. I have attended two conventions there and the space available is excellent. The hotel is in a great location...right at the inner harbor and is in walking distance of many places to eat and all the attractions associated with the inner harbor. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!!!!!
