"Great service average rooms"
We were with Sahara Desert Tour. They booked us at this riad, marketed as 4 star. However, the rooms are dark and rundown, in need of refurbishment. Front desk, all staff are very friendly. Great breakfast with the normal Moroccan spread. Really appreciate them upgrading our room to a suite for my husband's birthday. Still the quality of the rooms not up to par.
"More than 5 stars!!!"
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like a king and queen. The service was exemplary and all staff spoke English. They went out of their way to make our stay extra special. They even baked us a cake with a personalized message for our anniversary. The room was traditional Moroccan decor with stained glass windows, beautiful mosaic walls, exotic wood carvings and rugs. The bathroom was large and luxurious with no shortage of hot water and great water pressure. If you like a nice hot comfortable bath this is your place! The Riad overall was stunning and felt secure and safe the entire time. We felt like a family member coming to their home as a guest rather than just another client. We would love to come back to this jewel of Fes and recommend to all who are planning a trip!
"Random stop in for dinner"
We did not stay at this hotel, but we did stop in for a dinner. The three course meal was $40 per person, however the staff let us order two of the dinners for three people and we shared them. The staff was able to explain everything in english and were very helpful to explain what we were eating and the tradition behind it. We sat for three hours and enjoyed the views. We were able to explore the property which is gorgeous.
"The best Read in Fes - Bono of U2 picked it for a reason"
This Riad should be a 5Star place if not more. situated in the beautiful Medina Fes. A magical place that we were lucky enough to spend a few days, while visiting the fortified city of Fes. We loved every minute we spent here. The whole building is an architectural marvel and an interior designers dream. Samir (manager) and his staff made this such a pleasant stay from the time you walked in through that magnificent wooden door. This amazing Read was full of surprises. This was a photographers paradise. My husband and I were put in a suit that was so amazing and romantic. The rooms and bathrooms was impeccable and clean and so spacious for any couple. It felt like we were on our honeymoon. The food here was spectacular. An American and a Canadian who was travelling with us did a Hammam (Moroccan bath) here and said it was very authentic and they enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately you I didn't have time to book for one in this Riad as you need to book ahead of time maybe 3 hours before you intend to do it as they have to prepare for it. The customer service was impeccable and the staff is so polite and friendly. They go out of their way to help you. We ordered dinner and it was so delicious atmosphere was great and the price was not bad at all. This is the best Read experience in Morocco for us. It excelled in every aspect.Samir the Manager had such enjoyable one on one chats with all of us. He is a great human being and a great manager. We totally will go back here when we visit Fes again and its total value for money. this place was so quiet you feel like your the only one in the Riad. Also the roof top terrace was pretty scenic to hang out and watch stars. We took our breakfast near the pool and dinned inside. Pleasant weather in April. * Tip the waiters and staff please they really are helpful when carrying your luggage and serving you throughout your journey. They don't ask for it but it really helps them.
"Paradise in Fès"
We stayed in Riad El Yacout for two nights while visiting Fès. We did a tour around Morocco visiting the Imperial cities and the desert. It has been fantastic, everything at the Riad was wonderful. Highly recommended!
