"Large, beautifully appointed room"
My sister and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in a Signature Room with 2 queen beds. The room, bathroom and closet areas were huge - 550 square feet! We loved the location, the furnishings, the amenities, etc. We wanted to try the lobby bar, but they were having a private event. The concierge some great recommendations for a pastry around the corner and a cafe for lunch. There is a great walk from the hotel to the chalet/lookout at Mont Royal (great views of Montreal). It is also located right near the Beaux Arts Museum.
"Excellent Hotel in Montreal"
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Montreal at the Ritz-Carlton. The staff were wonderful, including putting a cake in our room to celebrate the occasion, and making sure a kettle was in the room so my wife could have tea (she doesn't drink coffee). Our suite was beautifully appointed--we wanted to move in and stay forever! Whenever we have occasion to go to Montreal, we'll be back!
"Perfection ... almost "
The Ritz -Carlton, Montreal is perfection. The hotel was renovated from 2008, when I last stayed there until 2012. The renovation is beautiful. The rooms are perfection. They thought of everything including a night light that magically comes on when you step out of bed . Comfortable beds and magnificent bathrooms . My only complaint is that I am a Gold Elite member and my app to check in said I had a room upgrade available. the hotel was empty so I was positive I would receive a room upgrade. I had booked 2 rooms, 1 for me and 1 for a friend for her birthday. At check in I asked for only 1 room to be upgraded as not to be greedy and front desk said “ it was not available”. I was very disappointed especially since we were celebrating our 60 th and 80 th birthdays together. Why not upgrade us ' Good PR plus I am loyal to Ritz and Marriotts. And the hotel was empty on a Sunday night in Nov. Not a good move on the front desks part. My review would be 5 star plus if the upgraded had been honored. Everything else was perfection. The bar, the restaurant and the doormen all helpful and welcoming. Late 4:00 check out was very helpful as well. I will return for certain and hope the next time they will honor my upgrade guarantee. Plus nice touch with a birthday cake kindly delivered to the room .
Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We eat in bars and the experience was great. My wife thought that the food was better at our last visit but I disagree. Everyone we met was pleasant and helpful. If it fits your budget go without question.

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Montreal was so enjoyable. Picked this last minute for a getaway and now in love with Montreal and Ritz Carlton Montreal. From the second we booked connected with the most amazing Concierge Janie Desharnais who from day one to check out booked our restaurant reservations and provided Johhny on the Spot information and follow up. Other Concierges Simon and I can't remember other Concierge's name but possibly Piero were incredible and always helped us and smiled doing so. Our room was incredible, spa lovely, roof-top pool and relaxation area nice, and so loved our $16,000 Japanese toilet in our room. Restaurant Maison Boulud delivered five-star lunch on our arrival and breakfast every day was a dream. Only wish for lunch would have been a regular casual style menu with big salads and simple food opposed to Michelin cuisine. Hotel is spectacular and The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal is our newest favorite Ritz. You enter the hotel to smiles and a staff wanting to serve you. You get off the elevator as seen in one of my pics to a staff literally waiting to serve you with a passion to please. I am going to mention staff by name but know I am leaving some out including incredible chambermaids and turn down staff who made our stay so much more enjoyable with clean and well-stocked rooms with superior turndown service. Angela at Front Desk was amazing by assisting us at check-in, delivering our luggage to the room and calling the hotel restaurant to not close until we got there. She insisted on walking us to the room to show us layout and explain where everything was and how to work the digital light system, amenities, and welcomed us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary. Restaurant Manager Francois-Claude Savoie and Maitre d'Hotel Maciek Raczka delivered world class service and attended to our every need every day of our stay. Their staff literally jumped and ran at any moment to serve and please us and pleased we were. Front of the House Staff Noeli and Stephanie welcomed us with open arms daily with Sarah, Salvador, Marie-Pier, Alsion, Catherine, Claymen, Romane, Christina made for one our most enjoyable hotel stays ever. Can't forget Massage Therapists Janai and Anna who delivered the most amazing massage and spa experience. I am sorry for names I forget like spa, pool, stylist who helped us but we love you all. Thanx The Ritz-Carlton, Montreal. We are forever grateful for your hospitality.
