"Get your party on"
This is a cute, trendy hotel in the heart of Hvar City. As others have noted, it could not be more convenient if you arrive by ferry without a car.Simply step off the boat and walk into the lobby. If you arrive via Stari Grad with a car, then it's about a 30-minute drive to Hvar Town. The hotel's directions for finding parking need to be revised. We had the hardest time finding parking and then getting from the parking to the hotel itself (very far walk). There's a golf cart/maintenance shuttle to assist with luggage, if you can give them a head's up. We'd been well-warned from reviews on TripAdvisor that the Riva Yacht Harbor Hotel was super loud out night due to the DJ downstairs and the Carpe Diem Nightclub next door. I can't say that earplugs did the trick-- it's still loud-- but they certainly helped. Our room was small, but super stylish. We didn't mind being a bit squished. The decor is on point, and the bathroom toiletries in squeezable bags were a fun twist. The breakfast was impressive-- not just because there's a variety of choices (eggs, yogurt, pastries), but for little touches like three types of local honey and soy milk. One thing that needs to be improved: we were told by the Riva staff that we could use the pool at a sister property, but when we arrived at that nearby hotel, we were told that their pool was far too busy to accommodate non-hotel guests. We ended up going to a cafe with a beach attached to it and hung out there all day. I'm not sure if we were misinformed or if the crowded pool was unusual, but this situation really should be rectified. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Riva Yacht Harbour Hotel. It's a trendy, boutique hotel in the center of the action, and if you like action and a good party, you might not even mind a little noise.
Spent two nights here in the busy summer period, hotel is located smack in the middle of Hvar with mostly everything within walking distance and the ferry dock is literally right outside the front doors. We arrived early morning and rooms weren't ready but staff were great so they provided us towels and we went to the beach whilst they stored our suitcases, when we came back our bags were in the room. Rooms are quite tight (especially the bathroom) so no space for luggage at all and when you take a shower the bathroom floods. Our room faced the main promenade so was noisy especially from nearby bars but we slept fine. Breakfast had a decent spread but nothing special. Wifi was decent as well. There is a bank about 50 meters down, best pace to change currency into Kuna.
Fun party hotel. Chic and trendy. Yes rooms are small but with all the adventures awaiting in Hvar who cares. Breakfast was free and a great selection you really have to be picky. Fun DJ right in the harbour front patio of hotel. Fun watching the boats & yaughts steps away.
The Riva is steps from where the ferry from Splits docks and that was the best thing about this hotel, although my wife gives the breakfast high marks. The rooms were awkwardly designed and small—2adults with luggage required some gymnastics to move around. The beds were extremely firm and the pillows were flat which didn’t make for a comfortable sleep. Service was OK but lacked the friendliness we found everywhere else in Croatia.
"Very obliging staff. "
This slightly different hotel had very kind obliging staff. The rooms are small but the beds comfortable. We had a water facing room with a lovely balcony. It is a large hotel so not particularly personal but very adequate. Nice breakfasts.
