Room Mate Grace rises in Manhattan, just a few steps from the shopping and tourist areas, 3 blocks from Times Square tube station, 42nd Street, Broadway Street and Briant Park. The Rockefeller Center and The Museum of Modern Art are just 10 minute walk from Room Mate Grace.
Fantastic experience, was some noise from the street etc but given the location this was inevitable, it was much quieter than I expected. Cleanliness was excellent, location unbeatable.Comment of O. Sue , United Kingdom the 2016-04-24
Love Room Mate Grace. Just wish the rooms weren't so small but I guess that's what you get for the great rates. Would definitely come back again.Comment of N. Nwanyinma , United States the 2016-02-29
Très bon hôtel pour New YorkComment of L. Hélène , France the 2015-09-25
The hotel was chic, and clean and the staff super friendly, my room was large which is rare for NY. Overall, i think it's a great choice for someone visiting NY, but for me being there on business it just wasn't perfect for me. Wifi was good, gym, sauna & pool looked clean and were nice ammenities, I never got to use. Personally, I liked it a lot in general, and think for the tourist traveler it's great.Comment of W. Magnifica ubicación, muy amables, habitación muy cómoda, tan solo echamos en falta algún mueble más para dejar cosas en el baño y en la habitación. Totalmente recomendableComment of P. Ana , Spain the 2015-05-03
Good design, friendly staff. The only minus was the poor wifi.Comment of A. Pal Laszlo , United Kingdom the 2014-02-22
"Not your average boutique "
Everything about the Roommate Grace exceeded my expectations! Upon check-in I was greeted by Nicole and Christian the front office manager who were lovely and beyond welcoming. The room was cozy, the bathroom amazing and the beds are like sleeping on a cloud. We really enjoyed the floral wallpaper as well. They even placed a cute cupcake in the room for my boyfriends birthday!!! Thank you again ! The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! It’s not just the typical waffles and coffee. The hotel offered so many options; espresso, many types of different breads, Spanish hams and spreads, pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon and many more things. I have never stayed at any other boutique hotel that offered such a great breakfast. We also had a chance to speak with the director of the hotel on our first day in the breakfast area, he was very nice and extended his services to us. The pool and lounge are amazing! We defiantly took advantage of the bar after a long day out in the city. It’s very tranquil and relaxing perfect place for a glass of wine. Thank you roommate grace I will be back !
"Amazing Staff, Spotlessly Clean, Pool"
I had never stayed at a "boutique hotel" before but I'd definitely stay there again. The pool, though not too deep was relaxing since I do water aerobics. The staff had that wonderful combination of efficiency, professionalism and friendliness. I'm 76 years old, traveling alone but felt completely safe.
Cracking wee hotel in the heart of Manhattan. All the staff at the front desk made us fell very welcome. A couple of deli's just next door great for breakfast. Would recommend to anyone that want a central location just of Times Square.
This was a great location, central to everything New York has to offer. The hotel was actually surprisingly quiet at night, must have good insulation from noise. The downside was, the room was so tiny you could hardly turn around. If you are a coffee addict, like me, there was no coffee or tea in room for the morning, however Starbucks is a stones throw away. We had construction scaffolding outside of our bedroom window. It was a Sunday, so there wasn't any work going on, but during the week it would have been an issue. The hotel had the loveliest breakfast! I was happy as a clam. I asked if breakfast was included, and the manager said he would check our booking. It was very professional of him, he didn't make me go back to front desk to check. After seeing which room we had, he comped breakfast for us, which was very kind. Fresh juices in glass decanters, espresso machine, numerous bread, bagel and pastry choices, as well as bacon and eggs and European type cheese and ham, where beautify displayed. I thourghly enjoyed the breakfast. We did not get a chance to use the pool, but it looked delightful. Bring your bathingsuit. The room was clean and had good toiletries. If you have vertigo or are prone to seizures the striped wallpaper and flashing exit sign in the hallway may be a problem. LOL, but true. The wallpaper in the bedroom was also damaged, but didn't really effect our opinion. I would recommend the hotel, just be ware of the very small rooms. The staff was accomdating.
"Lovely Hotel & Warm Hospitality, Excellent Location"
From the moment I arrived at the Room Mate Grace Hotel, I was greeted with nothing but warmth, helpfulness and a smile. I stayed at the hotel for two weeks and checked out just over a week ago and its a fantastic place to stay. If you turn right you'll be in the middle of Times Square literally in one minute, if you turn left you'll be on 6th Avenue where you will find an array of places to eat, shop and start sightseeing. The hotel reception staff and concierge were always helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As you walk in and out of the lobby there is a constant beautiful scent in the air, its decorated in black golds and silvers so has quite a nightclub feel. My room on the 15th floor was lovely, very comfortable bed, big shower and bathroom vanity area, nice big TV, kettle, iron, ironing board and hairdryer all provided. Looking out I could see the H&M building and the clock on the building in Times Square...but you don't hear all the noise, I found the room very peaceful. I had breakfast every day on the second floor, staff were lovely, breakfast had a nice mix of hot and cold breakfast foods and hot and cold drinks, plenty of choice. Room services were fine, no issues at all....my room was spotlessly clean, never had to ask for anything and complimentary toiletries always provided. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel and in New York and would recommend it to anyone who wants something a little more exotic feeling and boutique, its décor is dark and quite sultry but still fresh and airy and offers a little respite from the streets of NY. I travelled alone and felt completely safe and secure. I hope I get the chance to stay again....I have very happy memories of my whole stay!
