"The key to paradise"
'The key to paradise', 'La clé du paradis' is the positioning statement of Le Royal Monceau-Raffles Paris; after just spending 5 nights at this hotel the statement seems awfully close to reality! There is something magical when a great hotel just feels right, a warmth, a feeling that the staff from the door to the desk to the restaurants simply wants to make your stay more than just a stay but an experience, a lasting memory. A musical partition where there are simply no wrong notes but a long, consistent beautiful, soaring melody that takes you on it's wings. Philip Stark has never been more inspired in his creation of space, the public ones, the spa or the guest rooms. We had a Jr. suite which sense of openness, light and flow made it not just a place to be but a rich and fulfilling experience. The spa, vast, quiet, elegant , opulent should not be missed. Pool, hammam, gym: when you come out will have made you if not a better person certainly a happier one. Enjoyed the impeccable of the food offerings both in La Cuisine and Room Service. And, as a closing, note, yes Pierre Hermé's macaroons are the BEST in the world. The BEST!. To create such a performance the Managing Director and his Team must be a remarkable group of top level professionals! Sorry we had to leave and go back to the real world!
"Stunning hints of Modern Glamour"
If you want to pop to Paris for a quick weekend break, then this is the spot! Very close to all the major sites and you walk all if it easily. Upon arrival you are met by really friendly doormen that quickly whisk you inside and direct you to the reception desk. But what you find inside, is mind blowing we took a good 15 minutes just to absorb it all before we checked in and moved to our room. The Phillip Stark design is really like a massive art installation and you have to take your time to enjoy it. The presence of Stark in the rooms is stunning. Really spacious and again the design is mind blowing. But then it comes down to fine detail, that is letting the property down. The mini bar, TV and Wifi did not work. We decided that this will not get us under and went for a stroll with the hope that they will fix it all before we came back. Which sadly did not happen, but again a good old ice bucket can do the trick just as good. After asking for 3 ice buckets and filling the sink with ice and drinks we were set. The SPA is an absolute treat! The couples package is absolutely worth the while and oh boy are you in for a the best time!! The pool is amazing!! After your back rub, you then move to the relax area. Oh my word, there is rainforest shower you walk through. Quite an experience. Onsite there is Nobo and a nice cocktail bar in the lobby. Nobo is a classic and the food was really good. After an espresso martinis in the bar, which was good. We retreated to the room for some bubbles and time to relax with a book. The best setting with Phillip Stark around you, calm and composed. Quite looking forward to bed, after a day of spoil one self the bed was surprisingly really uncomfortable. In the middle of the night the bed lifted! It is on a spring... after a big yelp! and pushing it back down and not getting it to lock, we made peace with it and slept a good meter in the sky. Despite the glitches in the room. I really enjoyed the stay and was exactly what I wanted. If you can afford to upgrade to a suite, it is worth the extra money and you will not regret it.
"Just a wow-experience"
From the first welcome at the door, check-in and room: barely I never experienced such a hospitality and kindness. Very professional and world top class. The rooms are wonderful, the guest is king. No wish unfulfilled. I stayed at many 5 Star hotels in Paris but nothing compares to this experience. It is the perfect harmony in the whole hotel. The sets a new standard of service that you only can experience in this hotel. It plays in the same league as Adlon in Berlin, Raffles in Singapore, Fullerton in Singapore and the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. So expect the best and you still will be surprised.
We booked a suite at the Raffles and were not disappointed. When we arrived in Paris, the hotel welcomed us at the gate and received the full VIP treatment. We were rushed through immigration and customs and within 30 minutes in a comfortable car on our way to the hotel. We checked in early but the suite was ready and we were able to take a short nap before we explored the city. The suite was luxurious, roomy and beautifully designed. Service was beyond good and we enjoyed all the small touches. The spa was nice after a day walking through the city and we had a nice lunch at the hotel. Raffles made our Paris stay very special. After a disappointing stay at Chateaux de la Treyne we were happy to be back for another few nights at this beautiful hotel.
I have travelled extensively and have stayed at some of the finest hotels around the world. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Raffles, part of the Fairmont chain. The rooms are spectacular. A separate room for the closet with wall to floor mirrors. The bathroom was very large and accommodating. There was a separate room with the toilet which was like a bedet. The seat would be warm for you as you walk in the room, it was sensored. The beds and the pillows were very comfortable. The hotel is located 10 minute walk to the Arc De Triompe which was ideal. If you are a Fairmont Presidents Club member you will get free wifi in the rooms.
