"Excellent, relaxing resort with great service and location"
Excellent service all around, which started with our car pickup. Booked the Sala Pool Villa. Flight landed way before normal check-in time, but the staff helped us check in earlier which we're grateful for. They also offered a late checkout when they noted our departure time. Service had nice personal touches - every evening we'd get a little snack and a handwritten note from the executive chef. The villa was great, steps away from the lovely beach. Peaceful and relaxing. Good food, good location. Again, great service - everyone was very helpful and friendly and would go the extra mile. Our hardest decision was trying to decide whether we should nap in our room, by our pool, by the main adult pool, or on the beach. Tough life! We will definitely return to this hotel if we're back in Koh Samui. P/S: The Thai message on the beach right next to the hotel restaurant is very good. We didn't bother trying the other places.

"Perfect Honeymoon Destination"
We honestly had the most perfect honeymoon staying at SALA Samui. It is so idyllic and the service there makes it very difficult to leave and return home! Upon arrival (after organising a airport pick up) we were greeted at the reception which is a beautiful open area among Lily Pad filled ponds. We were given refreshing iced tea and cold towels which was much appreciated with the hot weather! Since it was our honeymoon they had gone the extra mile and given us a few treats including flowers and sparkling wine which was so thoughtful. The staff go above and beyond for you and we were given a great tour of the resort and of our amazing villa. The attention to detail is second to none. They really think of everything there; they even got us a mini breakfast buffet on the morning we left at 6am! We were amazed by the standard of food aswell, it was excellent! The breakfast was an absolute treat and if you fancied having it in the comfort of your own room, they will bring it to you at no extra cost. It is definitely worth Dining on the beach also; the atmosphere was very romantic and perfect for our honeymoon. There was plenty of excursions on offer and great advice on places to visit which was helpful as we hadn't done much research before our visit. Honestly we could not fault our time at SALA and would definitely recommend anyone to visit. We would only suggest more promotion of the Italian restaurant, Pangaea, as it was delicious there but not busy when we visited/ when we walked past which was a shame as it was great!
This really is a wonderful hotel with great service and a great place to relax and unwind. We had a samui pool villa, which has no room above it and is totally private. You really could just come out for meals if you wanted and I'd recommend one of these if you really want to relax. I've seen comments that food and drink is expensive and compared to places outside, it is. But the quality is much higher and for a hotel of this standard pricing is reasonable. The staff can't do enough for you and handle any request graciously. We also had a private dinner on the beach, which was wonderful. A word on Choengmon itself: the beach is not great, and Sala Samui is not on the best bit, and it's much quieter than Chaweng or Lamai. For us this was good but don't expect much outside of the hotel.
"Semi Private Luxury Beach Experience"
A very lovely experience here and so happy we stayed at this location instead of on Chewang Beach which is noisy, crowded, seedy and not a clean/pretty area. This is much more secluded and private while not feeling remote. There are local restaurants you can still walk to five minutes away. This is a smaller hotel/resort which is lovely for couples. The beach and pool area is gorgeous. Our villa had its own pool. I didn't think we would get a lot of use out of it, but ended up using it everyday in the afternoon. The GM introduced himself when we arrived and we had his direct number for any problem, which I thought was very top notch move on his part. There is always something new to put a smile on your face, such as a hand written note or a piece of candy on your bed at night. Just as a helpful suggestion I would improve the appearance of both the main entrance and walking grounds by the villas. It is missing the drama and cultural beauty of arriving and walking around a high end resort, which this is. Nothing a designer and landscaper couldn't change very easily. However this is all well done by the beach and pool. Last thing, this place has the best breakfast out of all the places we stayed in Thailand. It is both an elaborate buffet and the ability to order off a menu.
