Stayed online for a night. But it is extremely clean. Nice breakfast. The hotel looks quite new and has a good location, at walking distance of the center and attractions. Would be back for the same price. Ordered a pizza from the room service and it is really simple pizza. The next room noise and the Mini bar prices are the only negative aspects.
"First time at this chain: impressed!"
We chose this hotel because it was easy to reach from the airport (great city bus drops you off just a few minutes walk away) and a quick walk over the bridge from the Old Town with its wonderful cafes, pintxchos, beautiful streets in one direction - the Guggenheim Museum a pleasant walk along the river the other way. A metro is close by. BIlbao is a lovely city, and this hotel is in a nice area. But the hotel reallyimpressed us with the quality of their bedding, design of their rooms, good bathrooms, excellent staff and the really pleasant lounge area where you can make yourself a cup of coffee or tea while you plan the day. WiFi was excellent in rooms & common areas. All in all a great choice in Bilbao.
"We enjoyed our stay"
Stayed five nights April 21th to 27th 2017. Location is perfect. Close to everything. Airport bus stops nearby, too. Rooms spacey, new and nice. Breakfast was good, great selection of food and drinks to choose from, which were replenished regularly. I would recommend this hotel.
"Great location - worst service ever in the bar"
A modern hotel, very good location for being a tourist in Bilbao, close to both Old Town and attractions on the modern side. A rather simple hotel, but nice rooms. Breakfast was not very nice, but nice to be able sit on the roof terrace. Very friendly receptionist. However what we will remember from this hotel is the experience in the hotel bar - the ultimate example of a person put in the wrong position. We should have a drink in the bar before going out to dinner. Two in the party ordered white wine, and after a while the waitress told us that she was out of white wine, and all bottles were downstairs. Seems like a solvable problem, so we kindly asked if she could get one. But no, totally impossible, she was too busy and also responsible for room service, so she could not go downstairs and get a bottle (which would probably have taken two minutes) - and we were the only guests in the bar, so she was not very busy. We did not believe our own ears.. So one of us goes out in the reception and explains the problem to the receptionist, who said he should fix it. Five minutes later, the very busy waitress come with two glasses of white wine, mumbling that the receptionist came with it, not a word of excuse or any other friendly word. To have such people in a service business is just unbelievable - and enough for us to never return to this hotel.
Modern hotel with an old opera house facade. (Casino next door - which we did not visit). Reception on the 2nd floor. Space to pull , check in. Parking entrance around the block, even with a map it was easy to miss the little pedestrian kind street to the garage. Access with elevator to the hotel from the garage. Friendly, courteous and service minded reception. The hotel was very conveniently located with walking distance to the old town, shopping, dining and the Guggenheim museum. We opted for the up sell of to a superior room for EUR 10/night, the room itself and bathroom were very spacious and well laid out, with a view to the patio/terrace where you could enjoy a drink or your breakfast. There was a minibar and an electric water kettle in the room plus tea & instant coffee. Construction was going on in a building close by. You could hear the faint drilling noise from around 9 am till maybe 5pm. This was May 25 & 26, 2017.
