"4 star hotel wit good value for money "
Hotel is very good in terms of varied services. All staff were good n they even gave us early check-in. Only thing which I didn't like was the cook at the omlet station. He was little rude. They have heated pool near the bunglows and u can have drinks by the pool side.
"Superb value for a delightful stay"
Seriously exceeded all of our expectations for the price. When we got into our room we liked it to much we went straight back downstairs to see if we could extend our stay for another 2 days for a total of 6 nights, just so we could sit back and enjoy the resort more while still fitting in all our sightseeing. (Note on price - my husband is Egyptian so we got the local resident price, for tourists it will be higher but probably still excellent value for money) The room was quiet, large, sparkling clean and modern with a lovely bathroom. My husband fell in love with the strong overhead shower, while I enjoyed soaking in the tub after a dusty day of sightseeing on the west bank. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a large buffet with a large variety of fair quality. Best option was the omelettes made fresh to order. We didn't check out any of the shops etc. to the back of the property but, even though it wasnt quite swimming weather yet, we did sit in the sun on the loungers enjoying the views of the Nile from the pool most mornings. Quite beautiful and its refreshing to enjoy river views without the somewhat relentless hassle you get from touts on the corniche. Location wise, its a bit of a walk from the center of town. Not a whole lot if you're used to walking but if its hot or you're not much of a walker, plan on taking taxis to the sights or the ferry crossing to the west bank.
"The widest overview on the Nile..."
The widest overview on the Nile A very nice hotel, it has the longest and widest overview on the Nile. Rooms are nice, some of them are renovated and fabulous, and others are in the process The hotel is very big and has huge spaces, 2 pools and it looks like a resort more than a hotel There are some chalets looking over the pool and other rooms looking over the Nile… both are great. "Stunning location, mediocre hotel"
Let`s start with the positives: the grounds are beautiful and located right by the Nile away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Luxor. The Nile View rooms indeed offer stunning views of the river and the Westbank and are worth the extra money. Our overall experience of our 4-day stay, however, was rather average. It all started with a rather moody receptionist who seemed unhappy about the fact that I insited on our twin beds as per our booking. They only had a double bed for the night so we asked to move the next day and also decided to book a Nile View upgrade from our bungalow room (the bungalows are really crammed and unfortunately ours was rather dirty) - good decision as it turned out that the Nile View rooms are definitely worth it. General requests made to reception had to be followed up several times. Breakfast was very average with just the basics; the options even seemed to get smaller as the days went by. Wifi is really weak throughout the whole building. We were also very unluckly to be on a floor with a group of Chinese guests who woke up at 4am on two consecutive nights and started speaking loudly, slamming their doors repeatedly. Upon check-out we found out that they went for a hot air balloon ride in the morning. I know this is not the hotel´s fault but maybe it would be a good idea to inform guests to be considerate towards other hotel guests when waking up that early in the morning - we are all on holiday after all. Overall I think there are better places to stay at in Luxor.
"Value for Money"
Place is not expensive and has a superb view on the Nile. But I would recommend to pay a bit more for a better standard: the breakfast was not really good, coffee: horrible and if you want a cappuccino for breakfast you have to pay extra. The worst is the smoking everywhere, our room smelled like an ashtray. If you are smoker you will love that place.
