Centrally located in Waikiki, this resort is right next to Waikiki Beach as well as world-class shopping and dining. Diamond Head crater, or Leahi as it is known in Hawaiian, is located just three miles from the resort. The moderate hike to the top takes approximately 45 minutes—but is well worth the memories that will last a lifetime.
We loved staying at the Sheraton, the room was great and the service of the staff was amazing. We ate out most if the time and explored the surrounding shopping precinct. There was lots to do and eat and it was all very close and central. This was our Honeymoon and when we wanted to do something the concierge was very helpful in organising things for us to do. Particularly Aiko Storm was magnificient.Comment of V. Nicholas , Australia the 2016-09-04

Perfect hotel for relaxation. Swimming pools provide great experience for both kids and adults. Most rooms provide great views of the ocean, but oceanfront rooms were brilliant. Bathrooms are adequate and property is very well maintained and clean. Various food options available on site and chargeable back to your room. Well located and centrally located on the beach front.Comment of E. Richard , Australia the 2016-08-01

"Amazing views of Diamond head and waikiki (100% SPG recognition)"
We opted for this hotel as my DH is SPG platinum. On checking in, we noticed that there is another separate queue for SPG platinum and hence we quickly checked in. They honored our request for the better view suite and gave us Kia suite (though 1 day later; we were fine as they helped in moving our belongings) . Since we were platinum, we were given a medium sized bag (cover) to fill anything possible in it from a store inside the hotel. I filled in wine bottle, mugs, chocolates and lunch bags...all free of cost. we felt so happy. Our room and service were great. I loved Sheraton's location. We got complementary breakfast. View from Breakfast lounge was great. Their infinity pool is cool too. I would definitely recommend this hotel specially for a romantic getaway and if you are SPG platinum.
We totally enjoyed our stay all staff was awesome Logan at the desk Brent the bell man MJ room service just to name a few we will definitely be back no one was a stranger. Thanks to all of you for being so great.
"One of my favourite Hotels"
We had another great stay at the Sheraton Waikiki we just love to keep coming back, it’s one of our favourite destinations. The staff are the biggest reason, from the moment you pull up at the main entrance they are amazing. This year they had a new room key for us if we wanted to choose between the old style key card, it’s a waterproof rubber wristband that you can wear everywhere. It is so convenient just to swipe to get into the room. Our huge 3 bed room was so spacious clean and with a beautiful view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach and the pool. Just loved sitting there having afternoon coffees with that view, it is one that I could never ever get sick of. The beds here are amazing I wish I could fit them in my suitcase and take home, the daily maid service was always so good only had to mention once we needed extra items and they were left each and every day for us, so we tipped her well daily. We hired the lounges on the beach every day as we love to swim in the ocean and they are well worth the price for a full day rental, the staff there could not do enough for us as my mum had trouble walking, nothing was an issue for them, also tipped them and gave them some Tims Tams from Australia. We looked forward to the Breakfast each morning, where the staff once again excel, they are just remarkable, a big thanks to Suk (Sue) you are an amazing lady who is just the most generous and friendly person ever, had a million laughs with her each day. The Rumfire bar is a must to go to, the food is really great and the atmosphere & the view will win you over along with the staff once again, Happy Hour is a great time to visit. The ice cream shop in the foyer is a MUST omg so delicious. The donuts in the convenience store in the Hotels foyer are so so yummy, you can find most little items like milk for the fridge in there. The location to the main street is really close, and the small park as you walk down to the street has so much always going on, Hula Lessons, Bands Playing. Ross Dress for Less is close, Sephora the Cheesecake Factory, Macy’s you name it, and it even has a big ABC store just across from the front entrance is so convenient. This is always a stay we remember, we tell our friends who are thinking of going to do it. A big thanks to Julie L for her continued support. We would recommend the Sheraton to anyone thinking about visiting just book and discover for yourself what we all rave about
"Best Pool Ever! Hotel is average! Customer Service was amazing!"
We recently went on a vacation to Waikiki and we picked Sheraton Waikiki because we love their pool! Their edge pool is the best pool in waikiki. If you are a pool person then you will love this pool. Pictures dont do justice. The view from the pool is amazing. Now, if you dont care for the pool than this hotel is average. Rooms are average. I like this hotel because it has the Lenai lounge. If you have Starwood points or credit cards, this lounge will make you happy. It is nice to just go up there and grab beer, water, wine, etc for free. One issue we did have was the room situation. We received a two double beds and I had requested for king bed. After checking in, I worked with Jennifer(sheraton guest service) and she did an amazing job. Her customer service was excellent and she made sure that we were happy. She was able get us to a king bed next day and also she checked on us the next day to see if we were satisfied. I truly appreciated her dedication to make us happy! Thank you so much Jennifer!!!
"A nice stay with family & friends "
Just returned from 8 nights in the Kai suite. This is our 3rd visit to the Sheraton Waikiki and our second in a Kai sweet. Pros- good size room for family of 5. Awesome central location. Magnificent views complete with daily visits from turtles. Rumfire bar & restaurant. Club lounge view. Our housekeeper (26th floor Kai suite) was fantastic. Valet & bell services were great. Staff checking wristbands of people at pool to ensure they're guests of Sheraton- this was a major issue on our last visit- pool FULL of blowins Cons- HAVING TO PAY TO SIT ON A POOL LOUNGE WHEN IM PAYING $800+ A NIGHT TO STAY HERE. Absolutely unacceptable penny pinching. Sheraton management NOTE: this makes you look cheap not exclusive!!!! Poolside chairs are marked reserved and are patrolled by unfriendly, passive aggressive pool staff. I saw one guy told off for having his sons floaties on them- there was not one person sitting on the payed chairs at the time. Also witnessed an elderly lady sitting on the end of one while her infant grandchild played with the water at her feet- again, no one on the chairs nearby. Having come from Aulani where the guest experience is paramount, this really soured our poolside experience. CON- my friend was charged incorrectly at check in and had $25000.00, yes twenty five thousand, pending on his AMEX. Unacceptable and incompetent to say the least! Then upon checkout, same friend had AMEX billed for both theirs and my room. Another $15000.00!!!!!! They had my CC on record for my room so it's disturbing to think how this could happen. Club lounge- to repetitive and boring with food choices. Was much, much better 3 years ago! I wouldn't pay extra for this access anymore. Rooms, pool area and facade need some maintenance & a makeover. Overall a nice stay but not great one unfortunately. I give 3.5 stars
