Sheraton Warsaw provides the best of everything; price, quality, comfort, luxury, service, convenience and location. Perfectly located in the heart of Nowy Swiat, with Stary Miasto a pleasant 20min stroll down the road. Excellent gym if you're looking to maintain your routine whilst on holidays. Rooms are generously sized, beds very comfortable and spacious bathrooms. English is well spoken. Well priced given the quality stay. I would only ever stay here if you're visiting Warszawa.
I've been here with my best friend for a weekend and we couldn't have been happier when we found out that the hotel was in fact in the middle of Warsaw; such a nice (and residential, I believe...') area. We arrived on Friday night and we stayed there until Sunday (5-7th May). The man at the reception welcomed us and he kindly and patiently explained everything to us before we got into our room. The room was fantastic, big and nice; the beds were so comfortable and warm. The bathroom was huge and very clean (we are picky about this so...). And we also had a giant TV in front of our beds with every comfort we wanted. Definitely a nice choice and it probably made our stay in Poland even better. I would consider coming there if I get the chance to come back to Warsaw :)
Good location, excellent service, . Rooms and service are top at the three club floors, 4/5/6 You have a separate breakfast room and cocktails in the evening. Watch out, its small, plenty of businessmen and on and off children, it can get noisy and crowded. Try a suite 516 wth a view of the town, large living room, bedroom and two bathrooms. Enjoy the view. Doesn't come for free but that's not what you expected either.
The hotels services and staff have taken a big downward step in my opinion. Room was adequate, comfortable and clean, check in was pleasant. The club lounge was also good. However, breakfast on Saturday was a nightmare, seems as if the staffing levels are reduced by some significant degree, lots of tables with items left for a long time after guests left, couldn’t get staff attention for getting a coffee. Also selection of food was more limited than at other visits, notably no smoked salmon, hash browns or good quality sausages. The scrambled egg was cold! Found out when I tasted it, bit of a downer. The Some Place Else bar was an unusual experience – Friday evening the toilets were filthy, all 3 soiled as well as the paper towel bins overflowing. So waited for an hour before attempting to go to the WC again hoping for a cleaner to have made the place decent again, but alas the crap stained WCs still in the same sorry state! Saturday evening and I had the last bottle of Corona (my 2nd) – How can a busy hotel run out of beer' Surely they keep a large stock and replenish in good time' Apparently not, and given that the day and evening before, there were few bar guests. So went to the other bar by reception and it was closed at 10pm! The only public bar had a live band – is this 5 star' Reception staff; Saturday evening I asked for more water to be delivered to my room. The receptionist told me to use the mini bar and then I asked for bigger bottles than were in the mini bar. I was told to contact room service. When I stay at a 5 star hotel and ask for something regular and easy to service I expect it to be executed with immediate and pleasant effect. I can easily DIY at a 2 star hotel. On checking out the curt lady was efficient, but not at all friendly and most importantly declined to ask if we were happy with our stay, so not being given an opportunity to vent my dissatisfaction with the service and standards at the hotel, you can be given them on here! My findings are that this hotel does not meet the full requirements of a perceived 5 star service standard any longer and appears dumbed down to attract a budget clientele. Have a video of the dirty WC's and only the response of the General Manager to this review will determine if i publish it on social media.
"Lovely Renovated Room"
We just stayed there for three nights and our room seemed like new. Nicely decorated and clearly renovated. Huge by European standards - it was my mom and I so we had two double beds and still plenty of room for a settee and desk. Nice full length mirror by the door and large bathroom with decent water pressure. Beds were comfy, as usual from SPG brands. Well located near shops and good restaurants, a pretty short walk to the Old Town which we did several times. Great variety at the buffet breakfast, the only minor shortcoming was there was always a wait at the coffee machine in the morning (might be a nice touch to add brewed coffee pots) - but it was great coffee! Would definitely stay here again.
