"Heaven on Earth"
My husband and I stayed at the St. Regis Bali to celebrate our wedding anniversary in September. Our reservation included breakfast daily and airport transfers. We would highly recommend reserving airport transfers through the St. Regis. After arriving in Bali, we were met at the end of the jet way by a man who assisted us through customs, immigration, and baggage claim. (We wish we could remember his name because we are so grateful for his help!) We sped through immigration in less than 10 minutes because he led us to a separate (much shorter) line. He then collected our bags from baggage claim while we waited nearby in an air conditioned lounge. We followed him to the front of the line at customs, waiting no more than 10 minutes. Afterwards, he walked us and our bags to passenger pick-up, where the St. Regis car was waiting for us with water, chocolates, and cold towels. After nearly 30 hours of travel, it was a relief to move so quickly through the airport without wondering what to do or where to go. Upon our arrival at the St. Regis, we were greeted with a welcome drink in the lobby. One of the butlers gave us a tour of the resort on a golf cart before showing us to our room. The buildings and grounds of the St. Regis are absolutely beautiful. My husband and I stayed in a Gardenia Villa. It was a STUNNING room. The Gardenia villas feature a bedroom, oversized bathroom, walk-in closet, living room, kitchen, and powder room. However, the best feature of the Gardenia Villa is the outdoor area, which offers a deck, pool, lounge chairs, sun bed, and outdoor shower. My husband and I loved the privacy of the Gardenia villa while still being only a short walk to the beach or pool. The beach at the St. Regis is beautiful – soft sand and blue water. The staff on the beach is incredibility accommodating. They will set up your beach chairs and towels as well as provide complimentary water and light snacks throughout the day. There are two pools: fresh water and salt water. The salt water pool may be the largest I’ve seen in my life! We loved ordering drinks at the swim-up bar in the fresh water pool. Order the St. Regis Pina Colada in a coconut – you’ll thank me later! The beach and pools never felt crowded during our entire stay. One of my favorite memories is enjoying a cup of coffee in bed before the sunrise. The butlers will deliver coffee or tea (free of charge) to your room any time of day – all you have to do is call! Throughout our stay, we found the butlers to be incredibly helpful and friendly. We were always greeted by name with a smile. We loved breakfast each morning at Boneka. Boneka offers a buffet as well as an à la carte menu, all of which was included in our rate. Boneka’s buffet features pastries, yogurt, omelettes, crepes, cheese, meats, etc. Boneka’s menu features made-to-order eggs, French toast, oysters, etc. The staff at Boneka is wonderful – they not only remembered our names but remembered our order from the previous day! Do not miss breakfast at Boneka! We ordered lunch through room service each day. Our only criticism of the St. Regis is that their lunch menus at the Vista Pool Bar, Gourmand Deli, and room service are very similar. They offer similar pizzas, salads, and sandwiches on each menu. By the end of our stay, we were looking for a little more variety. We loved having cocktails, light snacks, and watching the fire dance before dinner each night at the King Cole Bar. Be sure to stop by during happy hour for half priced glasses of champagne! (Please note that wine and champagne are expensive in Bali due to a government tax. However, we found the price of beer and mixed drinks to be comparable to other luxury resorts around the world.) We ate dinner at Gourmand Deli, Dulang, and Kayuputi. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Gourmand Deli but the gelato really made our night. We loved experiencing Balinese food, drinks, and culture at Dulang. The food was delicious and the service was incredible. We were touched that they recognized our anniversary with a cake at the end of our meal. Kayuputi should not be missed! Reserve a table outside for memorable atmosphere and views. We can’t thank the staff at the St. Regis Bali enough for making our wedding anniversary trip so memorable. From the moment we arrived, we knew this vacation would be special. The St. Regis staff even went above and beyond by recognizing our anniversary with a bouquet of flowers, rose petal bath, chocolates, and a small gift. We loved our time at the St. Regis Bali and dream of returning to celebrate an anniversary in the future. My husband and I would absolutely recommend the St. Regis to anyone who is looking for a relaxing beach vacation in Bali!
I was in business in Hong Kong and decided to get away for the weekend and Bali was rain free so I booked it last minute. I’m very happy I did as the St Regis service has been first class as I am used to receiving at their other properties. The airport pick up was a nice touch and the typical Butler service. I was upgraded to a garden villa via the Amex program and the room is beyond nice with a beautiful private pool. I stayed years ago at the four seasons and this villa is a step above it for sure. The dining options are strong, I tried the Indonesian restaurant and the fine dining beach restaurant. I will surly be back with a significant other next time.
We had originally booked to stay in the Ritz Carlton, but at the last minute, due to the whole hotel being taken over for a wedding, we were transferred to the St Regis. We were very disappointed, as we had taken a lot of time to choose a hotel to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary......until we arrived at the St Regis. Unbelievable, we have stayed in some nice hotels around the world, but none as good as this. From the moment we entered the hotel, until we had to check out, the stay was fantastic. Charming and helpful staff, the hotel was spotless, the room was amazing (110), As it was our Ruby Anniversary, they had filled the bath tub with red petals with contrasting white one spelling "I Love You", what a nice touch, oh, and a chocolate cake as well. The beaches and beach staff were terrific, never had a beach attendant sit on the end of my sun lounger offering to clean my sunglasses before !! The buffet breakfast was truly a sight to behold, from toast to oysters and everything you could think of in between. The only downside was the drinks, which are very expensive, but you are staying in 5*+ luxury. Just a short walk in either direction from the beach are other hotels which are cheaper, but you don't get the same service, your choice. All in all, a fantastic holiday and even though there are many other places in the world to see, would not hesitate in coming back here as soon as possible or to recommend it to others.
"Amazing food and amazing service"
Amazing service, amazing food, gorgeous view. I can not recommend St.Regis enough! I have never tried food as good as this in my life. The waitress and waiter we had were very helpful. We had starters. mains and dessert. Every single course was to die for.
Fantastic service, clean and well furnitured. Great cuisine which is amazed me. Normally the resort only serve average foods unless you pay more. The private beach is quiet in the morning, great to bath in sunshine and meditate without distrubition.
