Stayed in a grand deluxe room on the top floor, which had the bonus of a balcony. Beautifully refurbished room with a huge bed and stylish bathroom. Check-in staff were friendly. However, after a 24 hour flight, we were disappointed to get into our room to discover that the hot water was off and being serviced, and no-one had thought to mention this'! Hotel is in a great location - an easy walk to the train station, shops, Romer and the river. And the bar is cosy and comfortable after a day of exploring!
"Classic European city hotel"
Steigenberger Frankfurter Hof is one of the old classic address in Frankfurt. Hotel is excellent, service smooth and rooms very nice. I had a Grand Deluxe and it was a great balance between classic and modern. I missed the spa, that offers great products I use at home.
"In the heart of the city"
Good place to stay in the heart of the city. Modern room fitting and amenities. Walk-able to many of the city's attractions. A lot of good restaurants around the hotel. Does have a business feel to the hotel. Overall great place
"Poor desk service at times"
Hotel is comfortable. Breakfast is good. Room keys fail from time to time. Depending on the line at the front desk it can take up to an hour to get your key fixed. A good thing i didn't have a meeting and could waste time waiting on them. A stupid way to lose a customer.
"Very comfy and centrally located"
A luxurious hotel in the "grand hotel" style in the middle of Frankfurt, close to many attractions and sights. The room was very comfy, though the shower was a bit small. The hotel has many restaurants and bars, including a lovely outside terrace. The food and drink were excellent. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, in particularly at reception. The only negative was the very slow service on the outside terrace, including a half-hour wait for a simple dessert.
