"Short business stay"
I just spent one night as I had to be in the area for business. The rooms are very nice, very functional for a business traveler. The bathroom was ok. I had an early breakfast and everything was fine. I have no particular remarks as I arrived late at night and left the next morning. Cheers, Sara
"Everything ok. Good hotel."
The Swisshotel is a good one, very clean, with a modern and essential style. Nothing to say on my stay, everything in order: room, breakfast, common areas, etc. Only some side aspects prevent me to give a 5/5: value for money ratio (even with a special company rate, it's expensive); check out (i took more than 15 minutes); location - even if it's close to Oerlikon station, there is very little to do and to visit in the neighbourhood. Very good for business, not so good for leisure / families, but in any case recommended for a short stay in town.
"Luxurious and affordable"
I stayed with my wife for 5 days. The rooms were clean and the food was correct. Little complete food menu, but quick service. At reception we were greeted by a very friendly blonde girl who helped us locate us very well and showed us where the best shops in the city were.
"Best place to stay."
This hotel is the best one to stay at when in the Zurich area. Less costly then downtown hotels. Take tran #11... only 15 min to downtown center. The hotel is 5 star and the staff is super. We have been staying here for over 20 years.
"Stands to the reputation, with one BIG issue"
As expected from Swissotel, high quality food, welcoming and prompt staff. The hotel is in Oerlikon, which is a well connected area to stay, yet much cheaper than downtown. The big issue I had was with the bathroom setting, where you can see what is happening inside from your bed. I have had a similar experience in Holiday-Inn Oerlikon, but at least the door wasn't facing the beds. I don't understand this strange habits of removing bathroom doors. I care for my privacy, and this is really disturbing. Let alone the air flow; which is clearly unhealthy and unpleasant. The other issue I had was that thy charge you for Wi-Fi, unheard of in this category of hotels at western Europe (they didn't charge me as a complement, but officially they could) .
