Comment of O. Mario , France the 2016-11-29
A comfortable, convenient hotel in the heart of Boston, within walking distance of many sights and excellent restaurants.Comment of J. William , United States the 2016-07-14

"My Taj is tired. "
I have always stayed at The Boston Taj and have recommended it frequently. This time I was disappointed though nothing huge. The place is still lovely. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The location superb. The problems I had were that it was just tired. The hand mirror was broken. The plug in bathroom wouldn’t hold my plug. The tub/shower needed attention. The lights in the bathroom were so dim I couldn’t apply my make up in there. That being said I would love to see them update and I would be there again in a heartbeat.
"Great location but will rip you off at every opportunity "
We stayed here for two nights and it is a very good hotel in an excellent location for walking around Boston. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the parking charges are extortionate at $53 per day and when we checked out found a “facility charge” of $30 per day. When I asked what it was for the receptionist said “the gym”. I didn’t know it had a gym and didn’t want to use it even if I did. The receptionist just shrugged and said “it was in the confirmation- take it up with Expedia”. Please add this to the room charge if it is part of the deal - i don’t like being made to pay for something I didn’t want and didn’t use - not classy
One of my favorite hotels in Boston. The location its more than great. its in a prime location where you don't need a taxi to go around everything is near you The service is wonderful. The safety was great for example my mum forget her jewelry in the safety box and we left boston and they called us the same day and they told us that we forget our stuff in the safety box and they ship it to us.
The Taj Boston has a great location. You can walk or catch public transportation anywhere but that is the end of what’s great about the Taj. There is no lobby and the service is lackluster. When I called for a wake-up call, I got a voicemail box. The concierge had no idea how to get to Gillette Stadium for the Patriots game.
"Location, location, location"
A wonderful location was the reason we chose the Taj for our brief stay in Boston - you are a minute from the T Station & right on Newbury Street & Boston Common so we were not disappointed but for a 4* City Centre Hotel, we expected more. The room was large but the bathroom was tiny and the shower was more of a dribble, the built in wardrobe was probably as big as the bathroom! The communal areas are poor with hardly anywhere to sit and wait (unless you go into the coffee shop). The hotel has a certain charm but it looks in need of a serious upgrade to bring it up to current expected standards. We didn’t eat in at all so can’t comment on any food, would have expected a coffee maker or kettle in the room as we were awake early due to jet Lag!
