I loved this hotel. It was just a short walk to Downtown Disney and the bus system was great for traveling to the parks. There was even a large Mears bus that picked us up during the busy time. That was great foresight on the hotel's planning. The price was a great value and the staff was very hospitable. I plan on staying here again in the near future! Thank you! Oh, and the terrace with a view of the Disney fireworks was a great unexpected surprise! Thank you!Comment of L. Randall , United States the 2014-10-11
Perfect place to stay if visiting Downtown Disney. Walk across the street and you are there! Free transportation to all Disney Parks. If you fly in or drive in for the Disney Vacation, no car is needed. I will stay here again!Comment of O. Paula , United States the 2014-10-03
"Wonderful in every way! "
This property and its staff has treated us with exceptional service and has created an amazingly fun trip. Thank you! From checking in with us as we settled into the room to make sure we got something to eat (this was 11pm) to smoothly extending our stay I can’t think how anything could have been better.
I don't know, I kinda expect more from the Hilton brand. It's a three star hotel which is fine, but I feel like it's a bit overpriced. The hotel isn't large enough for big groups and only has one restaurant. The Food looks good, but leaves much to be desired.
"A rip off if you're going for Disney."
It has the POTENTIAL of being an amazing resort, but it ended up being a total rip off. This past October, a friend and I stayed here for a 3 day Disney vacation. I have plenty to complain about. 1). While the deal here on TripAdvisor may sound beneficial, it is definitely NOT. Once you pay your amount on here... WARNING!! They will charge you an extra $25.00 per night for parking. They will also charge you $70 per night for a hotel fee. If you're going to Disney, you're better off staying at an All-Star resort at Disney with all of the extra theme park perks + free parking included. 2). Shuttle Busses were absolutely TERRIBLE. The Hilton Palace is the last hotel of about 3 that the shuttle bus stops at. We waited an hour on the first day for a shuttle bus that never came. We instead decided to walk through Disney Springs and take a shuttle bus to one of Disney's resorts and then to a park, just to feel like we were going somewhere. We did this until the last day of theme parks. We waited an hour and a half for a shuttle bus to arrive. Keep in mind, this one shuttle bus was only going to two of the parks. So everyone wanting to go to the other two still had to wait! ANOTHER issue we had: We went to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The information about their shuttle service states that the hotel offers free shuttle busses between the hotel and theme parks until a proximately 1 hour after the park closes. They did NOT specify that this didn't include the special theme park events. So we leave Magic Kingdom at midnight, and we wait for our shuttle bus to appear. A half hour goes by. I text the front desk to ask them when the next shuttle bus will arrive, and they state that it will arrive within a half hour. We wait another HOUR. It's 1:30 am. We waited an HOUR AND A HALF. I call the hotel this time, and they inform me that the busses don't operate for the special events. WOW. Okay. So we end up taking the shuttle bus that goes to the OTHER Hilton hotel, and we WALK from that Hilton hotel to the Hilton Palace. 3). The rooms are terribly dated. The door was warped. There was a pair of large boxers hanging on our bathroom door. There is obviously a lot of wear and tear from the Florida humidty. The only GOOD thing I have to say about the hotel, is that the help at the desk when dealing with my complaints, they were very professional and easy to work with. I appreciate the dedicated staff. But the actual hotel and its services are a terrible rip off. ......Just stay at an official Disney Resort hotel. I'm telling ya.
"renovated and improved"
this is a much better hotel than the previous owner presented i am amazed at all the changes i will return here again still a bit expensive but much cheaper than disney properties they have excellent shuttle service to all the theme parks in disneyworld
"Not a typical Hilton"
Very poor insulation in between rooms, very noisy, and marginal amenities for the cost....location is nice but that's about it. Staff are polite and lazy river seemed nice as well...daily resort fee is not worth it.
