A group of us stayed here for business and was amazed at how reasonably priced it was. The smallest room was just 80 Euro per night excluding city tax but including breakfast. The room is small but has all one would need. Small bathroom but well laid out and toiletries provided. Breakfast is a strange affair served in the circus room, which is a lovely bright round room. Food carts are around the edge and has an ok selection of food on the buffet. All in all good experience and terrific value for money
Don't imagine that you will enjoy a four-star luxury in this establishment. On first impression it looks palatial but it is in fact a budget class hotel. The staff are unwelcoming, unfriendly, surly and tardy. Thankfully these attitudes are not reflective of the inhabitants of Rome who are warm, friendly and generous. The hotel is situated is in a suburb and you need to use the Metro to travel into the centre of Rome. It is approximately a 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro Station. There is a bus from the hotel but it is approximately €12 (nothing is free in this hotel). However it is quiet at night. It is more convenient just to layer up and stay out all day rather than return to the hotel to change for the evening. The rooms are very poorly appointed to a much lower specification than either Premier Inns or Holiday Inns the UK. There are no drawers and only one electric point per room. Lighting is also very poor. The hotel itself however is very clean and the chambermaids service the rooms to a high standard. No Wi-Fi access. You have to rent a Smart phone from the hotel to get Internet access. Catering at the hotel is very poor. Nobody appears to eat in the restaurant. We ate a very mediocre and rather pricey meal there on our first evening, which was served with a large helping of ill-grace. Somebody has gone to a great deal of time and effort to source and protrude or the cheapest and poorest quality foods for the breakfast buffet. Fruit juices and pastries are heavily laden with sugar and the meats and cheeses are all processed. There is a type of bacon available which my husband likened to grey bandage. The fresh fruit salad is completely flavourless and is more liquid than solid. The only safe bet are the tinned pears. All these factors did force us to explore outside of the hotel and we did find a good restaurant and a friendly snack bar nearby. The hotel is very strikingly decorated in an art deco-style but is devoid of all ambience. The centre piece is a stuffed white lion which just made me feel really sad.
Amazing decor and clean rooms. Great location close to subway to get into the centre to main attractions. Food and drinks are five star. Hotel is phenomenal and cannot fault the staff they made the stay even better! We got engaged in the hotel and it was the perfect backdrop!
"A beautiful hotel "
Stayed here for 6 nights in late October. The hotel is as beautiful in real life as in the pictures. We stayed in a deluxe room with a good continental breakfast included. The drawbacks for me are: The beds are shifting around on the tiles, making a lot of noise. The Wi-Fi in the room wasn't very good. And the hotel is a bit too far away from the city center. (it is easy to get to the metro but it is often very crowded)
"Nice Hotel, Mold in Shower"
The Hotel was nice and I think it comes as close to a 4-star as I have ever seen in Rome. However, the bathroom grout had mold and the smell of mold was very strong when the room was closed up. We had to open the window at night and whenever we were in the room. It is close to the Cornelia metro and an easy walk of about 10-minutes. Shuttle was provided by the hotel for 70 euro one-way from Ciampino Airport.
