"Small hotel, perfect location"
Clean and normal hotel. Good service. But most important: perfect location in the city centre. You only need a taxi for your trip to the airport. Price a bit too high, but it was the weekend of the Vuelta and a huge congress in the city. Dynamic pricing... I hate it. Hospitality is is good!
"Perfect location, very nice hotel!"
Stayed here last week from Monday to Thursday. Travelled with a friend and had never been to Madrid before so we didn't know what we were expecting. Hotel is excellent, very clean, small rooms but very nice. Breakfast was lovely and cannot complain about that! Staff were always extremely friendly, always willing to help with good places to go to eat, providing maps and were a great help to us. They also looked after our suitcases for the day when we checked out. The location of this hotel is really excellent, literally 3 minutes walk from the Puerta Del Sol square and close to everything in the centre of Madrid. Overall, very happy with the hotel, felt very safe there and will be returning!
"Noisy and uncomfortable"
We had a small, oddly angled room with weak air conditioning. I would not have cared a great deal as I was only there to sleep but it was made more difficult to do so once the noise started. Throughout the whole night there were near-constant noises being slammed and people conducting loud conversations - there is no noise insulation at all here. Furthermore sleep was near impossible as the hotel provides only one very thin pillow per person, and one spare in the closet. The closet pillow is much better to sleep on but you will need to ask reception for another. We avoided the minibar as it was overpriced. Our "view" was over the construction site next door. Breakfast was passable but with insufficient quantities and a badly laid out dining room. If we stay in Madrid again we will just rent an apartment.
"A good central hotel for exploring old Madrid"
A basic but well run, clean hotel. Small rooms but well set up. Very helpful staff and reception. A good selection at breakfast with plenty of choices to suit all tastes. Ideally situated for exploring the main tourist attractions on foot.
"Bag Stolen while checking in"
The hotel location is good close to Sol Metro. Room is very small.Breakfast has not got much variety .Worse of all was that one of our group members back pack got stolen while checking in. Immediately, We asked for the CCTV replay but was declined claiming it is live and no record. Only thing they could provide was the police station contact. Could not believe that it is rated 4 stars and allowed thieves to steel things from customers. Would never recommend friends to this hotel .My friend got to wait 3-4 hours to get his Spanish Police report. Holidays in Spain at your own risk. Walking in the street is like a land mine
