Comfortable space with modern decor centrally located to most shops and restaurants. Hotel room could use more light and electrical outlets near night stand.Comment of C. Mani , United States the 2016-03-16
"Deeply Disappointing. "
Booked two nights at this property for a first-time stay through HotelTonight. Fees charged at the time of check-in were different than those listed in profile. When I shared that with Natalie, the front desk supervisor, she became aggressive and told me that it was detailed in my confirmation. When I showed it was not in my confirmation she began to mock me and tell me that if I traveled at all I should know how things work. Turns out she double charged me after all of that. The rooms look nothing like the pics. Entire property needs freshening. Service level is fair at best. Room had no closet or iron. View was of roof gravel. Bath mats and towels were stained. Musty smell in the room. When I was asked how my stay was when checking out, I shared it with the guest and she just kept moving and didn’t acknowledge the service failures or offer apologies. Given how rude the front desk is and how dated the decor feels, I would not return—especially after being double charged and receiving a condescending lecture.
Overall hotel was good. What made it worth writing about was when one of my party members was struggling after a long night out the staff went beyond the call of duty to help us. Much appreciation to the them!!
"Best time ever!"
I truly enjoyed every part of my stay at The Marker, the staff have excellent customer service, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the bar was nice also. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in San Francisco!
"Weekend in style"
Great base for access to the city, good atmosphere and helpful staff. Wine a nice touch if you were at the hotel at that time,. Good breakfast and dinner options available, rooms comfortable and bright!
"Check your bill"
I spent two nights in this hotel. Aside from being old and dated, upon check out their system was offline. I was assured I would be sent the invoice via email however this never arrived - my card on file was however promptly debited for a rather hectic value. Calls and emails (and days) later I managed to speak with the front desk. Only to learn of an unexplainable $50 charge. I have requested the invoice - yet to receive it and await a credit back to my card. Not the way to win customers!
