"Great kimpton hotel!"
I usually like to stay in Kimptons, but my favorite on Park was sold 6 months ago, so I gave the Muse a try. I always love when there is someone to greet you and hold the door. The staff were pretty friendly and accommodating. I asked for a quiet room and got a nicely sized corner room away from the elevator. The bathroom was very nice but I could see that there was dried urine on the seat that had already been dry and the maid just smeared it instead of properly cleaning it (ew). This was one point of my stay that really bugged me. Aside from that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the decor was nice. There was no full length mirror but I made due. For a girl who takes time getting ready, the bathroom is nice. The counter is spacious and the lighting is excellent without making you feel like you're "seeing every little pore". I ordered the room service breakfast service and it was very good. All the Kimptons keep a pretty good mini bar stock, although I had to raise my eyebrows at $6 for a Reeses. The location is great if you actually want to be near Time Square. For me it was a matter of convenience. Overall it was actually a nice hotel. The dirty toilet seat still irks me, but aside from that I had a pleasant stay.
"best hotel experience EVER"
Brilliant location ...1 min walk to Times Square. Reception staff were really friendly, especially Daniel who greeted me every evening with a wonderful smile. My 50th birthday and they upgraded us to a suite- AMAZING rooms and wonderful surprise of wine, mini cheesecakes and macaroons. Very clean, comfortable and like other Kimptons, free wine socialising hour in the foyer...great way to meet people from all over the world. We also used the free bikes to cycle around Central park. This hotel just made our trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Was really sad to leave. Thank you Kimpton. We will be back and will definitely stay in a Kimpton in another city too.
"Beautiful property, but poor service for price"
We rented the double queen balcony room, for quite the hefty price tag. When we arrived, it took three (!!!!!) trips up and down to the lobby to get keys that worked. When they finally sent up a maintenance supervisor, he acted like it was OUR fault that the door wasn't working properly. Then, the door to the balcony did not work. Again--like it was our fault (user error, which it was not). All of this took OVER an hour, and they didn't even offer us a cocktail or any sort of compensation. For the amount of money we spent on the room, I would have expected much better service and concern for the time of their guests.
"Nice hotel, perfect location, poor A/C in room"
This hotel is right off of Broadway at Times Square, so the location is absolutely perfect. So much is within walking distance. We rented a 2 queen room for 4 people. The room was actually larger than i expected considering this is in Manhattan. The bathroom was plenty big enough as well. The front desk personnel were attentive and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Only complaint.. the A/C in the room simply did not cool the room at night. It worked, and it blew air that felt cool, but it was hot every night.
"Spectacular boutique hotel near Times square"
I could not be happier with our stay. Room very comfortable plenty of space. Very clean. Lobby very posh connected to restaurant which was great for food and drinks. The hotel staff was absolutely spectacular. They could not have been more helpful. The doormen always on point getting cabs. Concierge was thrilled to help us. And the desk staff helped me all week to complete a business transaction back in Texas. Could not have done it without them!! I highly rec the muse if you want to stay near Times Square. Absolutely top notch. Would definitely stay there again!!!
