"OK hotel, nothing special, problems with smoke."
We choose this property because we are generally big fans of the Luxury Collection brand-- we expect more locally identified higher end properties that get us away from the big box generic feel of a Westin or Marriott. This property is fine, but it totally lacks charm or any kind of special character. It feels disconnected from the city around it. The beds were comfortable, decent views, and everything was clean. Breakfast was good. Although we were on a non-smoking floor, every night there was a strong odor of smoke in the hallway. On our 2nd night, we came out of the elevators and the entire floor reeked of cigar smoke. To our dismay, the smell was getting into our room, something we were very unhappy with. I have respiratory issues that can be triggered by smoke, so it was a real concern. I called the front desk to complain about this, and they assured me that they would try to find the person and stop them. The overnight manager also called to apologize. They offered to move me to a new room, but I did not want to move at 11:30pm, so we suffered through it. I would have expected additional follow up from the GM or the like, with a significant service issue like this, but we never heard from them again. So, in conclusion, the hotel is adequate, but we won't be returning.
beautiful room, plush bed, lots of towels and even bathrobes! The location cannot be beat. The hotel is walking distance form Harrods and Hyde Park. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast selection was fabulous
Such a shame, a beautiful hotel in a perfect location with terrible reception staff... I stayed there 2 nights ( thanks god I didn't stay more and moved to new place) I waited 30 minutes at reception arguing to get the room i booked for online. I heard the same answer for 4-5 times that its my fault that I booked thru booking.co. Last minute and the room is not guarantee. I booked same day for high rate, and I end up with room for smoker and smoking floor . The smell is horrible especially for someone like me who doesnt smoke. They said thats the only option I have, I would leave on the spot but its refundable amd they were rude to say that we will charge you the full payment, Its their fault they dont have rooms, amd kept repeating its my fault coz i booked thru booking.com I am wondering if you dont have rooms available why Its shown on booking.com with higher price. Worst reception, very bad and rude attitude , which is not acceptable for 5 star hotels, even b&b hotels will never act like this.. What a shame. I ll never book again and of course i dont recommend it. Slowest internet ever, and it always get disconnected.
My husband & I have just spent three days at this beautifully appointed & well located hotel. The concierge was wonderfully welcoming as were all the staff we encountered during our stay. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which had amazing views over Hyde Park. Breakfast was a treat, special thanks to Alejandro for taking such great care of us. Highly recommended.
We were in London from October 14-16, 2017, it was our last leg from our Central Europe vacation. We stayed At The Park Tower Knightsbridge and had a very lovely accommodation. Our room was very spacious and so classic. The hotel is very well located and nicely decorated. The hotel staff are very professional and nice especially Kate at the reception. She was very helpful, polite and welcoming and also Ylena. They had a very efficient staff. We saw someone in the hallway and requested for a bottled water ( we did not get our complimentary water on that day bec we opted on "green" so no cleaning on that day) and it did not take a long time to have the water delivered to our room. We wanted to try the afternoon tea but it was our fault that we did not make a reservation ahead of time. Kate suggested having a coffee and cheese cake instead. Overall our stay was enjoyable and excellent.
