Very classic, luxury hotel. Great breakfast buffet and delicious bar and restaurant. The personnel was friendly and helpful for suggestions to meet the city. My only complaint is they close the breakfast buffet on Sunday at 10am which is maybe normal in UK but not in other countries were we actually want to rest on vacations.
"Amazing Customer Service at Check in!"
The wonderful lady that checked us in made us feel so welcomed and special! She gave both our kids teddy bears and made sure our room was made up perfectly for us. The hotel has an excellent location next to Hyde Park and we enjoyed our view. Our room and bed were both very comfortable. We did not want to get out of it in the morning. We cannot wait to return to this hotel!
"Very good hotel"
I had a very good experience in the great hotel. Excellent service, lovely junior suite. Great location opposite Mandarin Oriental which is presently being rebuilt, so not the perfect place to stay. Do go to the wonderful "Dinner by Heston Blumenthal" there though!
"Great Location, Luxurious Sheets, and Good Service"
The Park Tower Knightsbridge is in a great location in London. It is a short walk to good restaurants in Knightsbridge, Belgravia, and Kensington. It is also a short walk to the main tourist attractions in London. The outside of the hotel looks like a poor architectural choice from ~40 years ago, but the inside of the hotel is decorated tastefully and is updated. The classic room was spacious and included a comfortable coach. While the lower floor room that I was in did not have the expansive views of London, it overlooked Albert Gate and got plenty of light. The sheets were luxurious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, had good toiletries, and the shower had decent water pressure. The room was immaculate and the cleaning employees worked very hard each day. The only complaint about the room is that it needs to have more outlets near the bed. Food was good. The room service early in the morning was the fastest I've ever experienced (and I've traveled frequently for almost 20 years). The wifi was good, though if you do not have SPG Gold status or higher (or it is part of your room package), you'll have to pay a steep price each day. Speaking of steep prices...if you order coffee for breakfast at The Hyde Bar, they charge you 7 GBP per cup, no refills. So two cups of coffee cost 14 GBP. That's outrageous and should seriously be reviewed. I understand that margins are higher in hotels, especially hotels like the Park Tower Knightsbridge, but 7 GBP for a cup of coffee is excessive. Overall, a very good stay.
"Staff and location are tops"
Read very mixed reviews but booked for location and with the knowledge that for the money during May timeframe, it is good the value. We booked a classic room and as SPG Gold was upgraded to Exec by management prior to arrival. This has never happened to me before and a kind gesture. On arrival we got a room without a walk in shower, wanted one and was quickly accommodated. We had an issue with housekeeping leaving a large trash bag in the room by mistake and had other issues. The turndown service lady made everything correct, was kind and efficient. The best. We had a rollaway bed as well. It was set up and taken away within minutes of calling. Bar staff was great as well. Perfect Irish coffee (more than one !) and good service. Sure, the property is dated and you need to be sure to request a 'renovated' room. Carpets in the hallway could have odor as others said, not in our 11 th floor. Construction on a building next door with 3 jackhammers going didn't bother us as the windows were sound resistant enough. Across the street is Hyde Park. 20 min walk to Buckingham Palace. Next door to Harvey's and a short walk to Harrods. What else could one want '
