"Noisy airport hotel"
Booking: Booked a 1-night stay via the SPG website. Needed an overnight hotel and this one was close to the airport Location: Close to the YYZ airport with a free shuttle to YYZ that can connect you to Downtown Toronto Check-In and Lobby: There are only 2 check-in desks so the lineup can be significant during peak hours. Spacious lobby with a restaurant in the middle. The staff was great in recognizing my status and allowing me to choose my room (twice). I was given an accessible King closer to the elevator at first, then because of the noise next door, I was moved to a room further away. The Room: Standard King sized room tucked away far from the elevators facing inside the hotel. Despite soundproofing the room the noise from aircraft takeoff still seeps in enough to prevent a good night's sleep. Not enough lights, so the room seems like 3* dated hotel to be honest Amenities: The hotel has a pool, fitness centre, but I didn't use it Cons: Lots of noise and my bathroom door wouldn't close Final Verdict: The hotel rooms need to be better soundproofed since YYZ has takeoffs every minute. I expected more modern and fresh rooms from the Westin product/brand.
"Airport Parking - amazing!"
We booked the airport parking at The Westin and were very impressed. From the booking process to the service it was top notch! Travelling can be stressful and exhausting. Both our drivers; Andrew and Mounir were so pleasant and accomodating. They are good guys and excellent representatives of The Westin. Will always use this service for airport parking. Thank you!!!
"Mix of good/bad service with some exceptional staff"
Organised another Board meeting at this location after a gap of four years hoping to have the same pleasant experience as we use to enjoy previously when the hotel name was different. The shuttle service from the airport is top notch, the driver arrived within 15 minutes of the phone call. Checking-in was slow, only two wickets were open while around 15 guests were in the queue. When I opened my assigned room, the linen was all on the floor and the room was not clean at all. Housekeeping staff was there and she start fixing the room immediately and informed the front desk. They asked me, if I want to move to another room, and my response was yes.I waited for 15-20 minutes outside the room on 8th floor, but nobody showed up with another room key and I end up staying in the room which was fixed by now. For the meeting part of my stay, I would say they have gems to run the show. I would like to mention Errol Ying, Banquet Manager, who worked like a whirl wind to move our meeting to a bigger room and setup the whole room within no minutes. I was able to have a flawless meeting logistically all due to Errol and his team. Errol provided an excellent customer service.The food was excellent and banquet team followed the assigned time routines without any reminders. Also a special thanks to Chef for making the delicious food.
Spacious rooms and nice usual Westin decor. There was some mold in the bathroom though. I've booked with expedia and i had to pay for wifi which was disappointing. Overall, it was a comfortable stay but nothing exceptional.
"The Best Hotel I Have Stayed In This Year 2017!"
What can I say, from the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was blown away. Nice Clerk, Quick Check In. Its a huge hotel, so finding my room was a little tricky. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Room was enormous, huge bathroom. As clean as it gets (from the naked eye - Lol) Bed was so comfortable, I feel asleep in a moment. Loved the blankets, room, lighting, everything. They have a nice breakfast buffet. Easy check out Easy to get back to the Airport (I was on a lay over) I will stay at this hotel next trip! Why stay anywhere else' oh, the pool is i think 7.5 feet deep in one end, very ample, and indoor with towels there, and lounge chairs. water was warm and clean.
