"Work Hard Play Hard"
So the Westin Ft Lauderdale Resort hosted an conference I attended in June. The hotel had many pluses and some minuses I'd like to share. I like to start with the bad so I can end on a good note. The bad... -Mandatory Valet Parking $39 plus ~$3 parking tax... $42 per day to park. (Cue the cash register sound) -The hotel restaurant menu was quite bougie. Which brings me to my next point... - In my opinion this hotel is not intended for families with kids. While they do try with beach toys available for checkout ...but the food, pool depths and general location seems to not be very kid friendly. I think the Wave menu was better but the Siren's table was definitely not kid friendly. -I wish the 2 bedroom suite had queen beds instead of double beds. THE GOOD.... -OMG this place is top notch for access to the beach. The skywalk is ideal and I know I'm about to contradict myself but if you have kids and don't want to play a real life game of Frogger to get across the street to the beach, stay here. -The North Tower view from 648 was a beautiful. -Proximity to local restaurants were in walking distance... shout out to Cafe Ibiza... a little pricey but the food was delicious and worth it with the live entertainment. - Even though there were double beds, they slept well. - Staff was very accommodating. -Hotel was a short drive to chain restaurants and grocery stores like Chic-Fil-A, McD's, Krispy Kreme, Publix etc... Overall, it's no Embassy Suites with regards to hotel amenities and manager's receptions, breakfast buffets and all- oh how I love those ... but it was ok. Would I stay here again, probably not... nothing against the Westin itself, just not my type of place.
I just stayed here for a few nights and loved it. We arrived early, and our rooms were ready upon arrival. I had am excellent view of the ocean. Room was very clean! For our meetings, we were fed well, and the food was quite good. I appreciated the service provided by the banquet staff! We ate lunch at Sirens and I had the turkey sandwich. I highly recommend! We also spent some time in the Sirens bar one evening; the service could be improved, but the drinks were good. Overall, my stay was enjoyable and I would stay here again!
"Nice and clean "
The rooms are spacious, clean and have a good standard. There is a nice lobby with several dining options including a nice breakfast buffet. Staff is friendly and helpful, good automated system for valet parking. Could absolutely stay there again. Price is good compared to what you get elsewhere in LA.

Claudia at Siren's restaurant was as outstanding as the food. She was incredible I hope she remembers us I'm the guy in wheelchair with NYMartini. The food was done perfect and was a lot more reasonable than the one along beach. Aks for Claudia as a server she goes above the norm to assure your dinning experience is great.
I stayed from June 9th to the 14th, 2017. Had an intracoastal view. Went to desk and asked if they had any ocean views and Bobby the Asst. Mgr. said yes and upgraded me. What an awesome view I had. Went to the pool everyday. Nor crowded at all. Pool was clean, Waves pool bar was excellent. The waitresses were friendly, bartenders made awesome drinks!! Room in South Tower was clean. They had 2 conferences in during my stay and wasn't crowded at all. Sirens bar and restaurant had excellent food and drink. Everyone was friendly and accomadating. Will definitely stay again!!
