"Not Your Normal Westin "
This is more how I would expect the average Sheraton to be. That's the best way I can put it. Sure, the location is great, but the hotel is in need of an update. Everything looks twenty years old. Nice, but old. Additionally, the bar staff didn't seem to know if either they or the restaurant were open or closed. All the while, other tables received food over an hour later than we were told the restaurant was closed, and bar customers continued to arrive an hour after we were told last call was "imminent". On the positive side, I can't say enough good things about the omelette chef at Sunday's breakfast, what a great guy! And Robert at the front desk was very friendly and helpful at check in.
"One night stay"
Hotel is right on the beach, great service, could use a little updating though. Restaurant was delicious. Starbucks on site . Pool area has a bar. It is very large and it can take a while to walk from one end to the other.
"Average hotel in great location"
Location was great with a skywalk over the road to get to the beach. The hotel is dated, but under construction, which is why I gave this just an average rating. The noise of the jackhammers went on too long, so we didn't eat at the 1/2 open restaurant. The pool bar doesn't open until 11am. We ended up walking down the boulevard each morning for breakfast and lunch. The rooms are small and staff very limited. One of the waitresses ended up bringing up one of our room service meals which we were charged a $10 delivery fee which was communicated to me, but then a 20% room charge which she said was not the tip'''' We then tipped her additional $, but I think that was the included gratuity. The food was good! I also appreciated the free beach chairs and towels.
Stayed here for 5 nights using points. The staff are friendly. Hotel is well used and a little worn. The gym is decent. The pool Are is nice to relax. Nice to be in the beach. I like it much better than South Beach. Parking and resort fees are a little high. Our room was not cleaned one day. Many restaurants and clubs within walking distance. All in all it was a good stay and I would likely stay here again.
Service is friendly. Rooms and hallways are small and narrow. The resort has a pool and bar with access to the beach. AC is noisy. Not a lot of ambiance except for the beach. Restaurants nearby are pricey.
