"Great location...great sevice...beautiful hotel!!"
What an amazing place.. The views of the New York skyline were beautiful. The staff is so helpful and professional. The room was clean and contemporary. Room service was quick. I was extremely impressed! Can't say enough!!!
"Good, Not Great"
Let me preface by stating my review has nothing to do with the staff (all of whom were lovely) but everything to do with the property itself. I've stayed at several Trump properties with my favorite being Chicago (followed closely by Las Vegas) and while this SoHo property was nice, it felt more like a 4 / 4.5 star property than a stately 5-star ultra-luxe hotel residence tower Mr. Trump is known for. While I'm well aware that square footage and acreage is at a premium in New York, the hotel felt cramped. The lobby was average, nothing to write home about. The restaurant + bar area was almost hidden in a space that I'd expect to find a business center. Oddly enough the makeshift "business center" was at a desk directly outside of said restaurant. The entire hotel felt like it needed an update. The porcelain and marble flooring was worn, the wallpaper in our bathroom had what appeared to be permanent marker above the light switches, and several faucet handles were loose. The devil is in the details and either maintenance is overlooking a few things, or management needs to push for a renovation. The views were spectacular, however. We were in room 2508 with views of the Hudson River and Jersey City beyond. Finally, we visited on an exceptionally busy weekend (graduation weekend) and for the duration of our stay only 3 or the 4 elevators worked. It doesn't sound like much, but with the amount of guests checking in and out that 4th elevator was greatly missed. The elevators were either PACKED or we had to wait up to 5 minutes for one to arrive. I do believe this property can really shine, it just has to put in the time to perform regular maintenance.
Absolutely love this hotel, rooms, staff, service all excellent! We traveled from New Zealand July 2016 and stayed at Trump Towers at the end of our journey after coming from The Quinn. Absolutely fabulous is all I can say, great location loved Soho, close to shops, boutiques, cafes and great restaurants. Rooms were beautiful, spacious, large bathrooms and the most breathtaking views. We had a corner suite with an interconnecting room, one room overlooked the river while the other looked right down over the city with the most beautiful views of the Empire State building at night. The food at the restaurant was fabulous, service was always prompt and whenever we ordered room service the wait was minimal! What we also loved about this hotel was whenever we needed something reception was always there to help and nothing was ever too much of an ask. We weren't familiar with NY at all and had no sense of direction due to it being our very first time so Trump Towers were more than happy to organise a car to take us wherever we needed to go! Also we organised a day trip to the Hamptons before we even flew over and had absolutely no idea where the meeting point was when getting to NY as we were overwhelmed with the size of the city so was so nice to have staff at the hotel guide us and help us get to our meeting location for the bus! Overall location was a huge highlight, down the street was Starbucks which was super handy as well as Dunkin Donuts for a sneaky sweet treat! If we ever make a trip back to NY we will stay here again without a doubt!
"Gem in Soho"
We were not expecting much, but the service, room size, location and view were all pleasant surprises. We upgraded our room for a double sink and better view, at a reasonable cost. The only negative was the mattress was too soft for us.
"A fave now sad"
I used to love this hotel. It is now a mess. Rooms are sad and dirty..no where to have a cocktail or a meal... the staff are friendly enough, but the place looks like it's going out of business..not a place that should be so pricey for so little. They seem to have just given up with supplying the little things like slippers and a bathrobe. When the little things go......
