The area is excellent for guests wishing to discover São Paulo, as the tourist attractions can be reached easily by the city’s most important streets and avenues, such as Avenida Rebouças, Rua da Consolação, Rua Oscar Freire and Rua Alameda Santos. And the surrounding area offers superb restaurants and bars, as well as clubs and other entertainment options. Access to public transport is no problem for guests staying at the TRYP Paulista, as it is near two metro stations; Paulista [yellow line] and Consolação [green line], that connect to train stations. Avenida Paulista and elsewhere nearby is also well connected by the city bus routes.

"Was there for work last April, business hotel, great location."
I was there for a business trip related to this foundation I am helping with. The hotel is very basic with a nice average breakfast service and a very good restaurant for lunch and dinner. The location is perfect if you need to explore the city by night. Traffic is horrific in Sao Paulo so if you are close to nice restaurants and shopping area is better because you will be stuck in traffic for hours depending the time you take your Uber. Uber services are perfect and very cheap. Next to the hotel, leave the door go to your right, there is a "padaria" where you can find so many kind of delicious Brazilian food. I was by myself so was perfect if I wanted to change the hotel selection menu for something different. Avenida Sao Paulo is just one block away and Sunday walks are wonderful since they close the streets for cars.
"A comfortable stay at a lovely hotel"
I recently stayed at this hotel while on a study tour with my MBA class from Canada. I checked in at 3am prior to the rest of my group's arrival later that day. Upon arriving so early in the morning, the front desk agent was incredibly pleasant and welcoming, and even wished me happy birthday as he had noted on my reservation that it was my birthday that day-- such a nice way to start the day! Check-in was quick and easy and I was in my room in no time. The room itself was very comfortable. It was spacious, clean and convenient. The bathroom was a little tight, but definitely functional. Bed was comfortable with nice bedding. The following day, I would be changing rooms once the rest of my group would be arriving. The staff was so kind to take care of the room change for me, and had all my luggage waiting for me in my new room while I was out during the day. The daily breakfast was very good-- lots of variety and food options. No issues here at all. Lastly, the location of the hotel is great. It is right in the middle of one of the nicest areas of Sao Paulo, and walking distance to some great restaurants. A
"Good for a stopover in Sao Paolo-but pretty basic"
The hotel is a clean and basic one, but not a 4*. The staff are fantastic however, and do everything to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast is also good and is on until 10:30 which is good if you want a lie in. The hotel is perfect for a stopover for a few days in Sao Paolo-with Paulista Avenue nearby with plenty of restaurants. The rooms are a bit small and dated, and the shower is not very warm/powerful. Wifi is fast. Overall good for a day or 2-but pretty far from the airport-around 45 mins!
"Better than a VIP lounge "
After reading how awful all of the lounges were at the airport and facing a 4 - 5 hour layover... for $100 I reserved a room. It was beautiful. My wife slept while I watched tv. A private bathroom and shower. It was a good move.
Great hotel. Easy check-in, great location and fastest wifi I've had in Brazil. The staff is super friendly and the location is excellent. I left my computer charger in the room and the staff rushed down to get it back to me. I will gladly be back here.
